Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi chresti!
12:43pm Dave in St Albans UK:

Hi Jan and FDL people. Late to show. Time to relax now .....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Dave!
Avatar 12:51pm HyperDose:

Intrigued by those scooters. The wheels look a bit small to be motorized. What were they?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm Jan Turkenburg:

Your guess is as good as mine. It does looks like a kind of battery on the front...
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 12:53pm Mr Fab:

Hi Jan, and fellow Jan-fans!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hi Mr. Fab!
Avatar 12:54pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Goedenavond uit Groningen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Jan Turkenburg:

Dag PK! U heeft net wat stichtelijke klanken gemist...
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 12:55pm Mr Fab:

Dollar Brand! The great South African jazz man. Thanks for reminding me of him, Jan.
Avatar 12:56pm Paper Kosmonaut:

thought I chimed in after the stichtelijke klanken to prevent nasty outbursts of eczema..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:56pm Jan Turkenburg:

hahahahahaha
Avatar 12:57pm Paper Kosmonaut:

de heer is mijn herder maar ik ken 'm niet, verder.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Jan Turkenburg:

😊
Avatar 12:59pm Paper Kosmonaut:

about those scooters: www.smithsonianmag.com...
Avatar 12:59pm Paper Kosmonaut:

I guess they had the time to miniaturize stuff after the 1940's.
Avatar 1:01pm HyperDose:

@Paper Kosmonaut I could only find the Mental Floss article that verified they were indeed electric. Very curious as to how they were built. Thank you! :)
Avatar 1:05pm Paper Kosmonaut:

its getting itchy here....
Avatar 1:08pm Paper Kosmonaut:

This way of speaking Dutch is so funny.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Jan Turkenburg:

Yes and she has a funny high pitched voice... The class in which I tried this couldn't stop giggling and making fun of it...
Avatar 1:20pm Paper Kosmonaut:

High pitched but it also sounds like she smokes two packs a day. But besides that, her diphtongues are so different from nowadays. 'Hooiren' instead of 'horen'. (to hear)
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 1:31pm Mr Fab:

Gettin down like Spock to Germany's EZ organ king. Live long and disco!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Jan and all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:39pm Jan Turkenburg:

Hey coelacanth∅!
Avatar 1:39pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Hi coelacanthø!
Avatar 1:41pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Good heavens. What will our non-Dutch speaking friens think of this?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Jan Turkenburg:

Are you going to translate PK, or shall I do the honours?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm coelacanth∅:

hi Paper K!
Avatar 1:42pm Paper Kosmonaut:

I'll let you do the dirty work. (-:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm Jan Turkenburg:

If I'd play this on local air waves, I think somebody would like to have a word with me...
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 1:44pm Mr Fab:

Nutty, I know "Thank you very much" from The Scaffold, a Bonzos-related British band (feat. Paul McCartney's brother). Never thought I'd hear a children's choir sing it.
Avatar 1:46pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Pietje Potent's band was called de vrolijke trekkers (the happy wankers)
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 1:51pm Mr Fab:

Does 'trek' mean 'wank'? Because that Mr Spock gif would take on a whole new meaning...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm coelacanth∅:

there was a band in the 80s called "the wankers"
...maybe they weren't as happy
Avatar 1:51pm Paper Kosmonaut:

trek also means trekking in Dutch but 'to wank" is '(af)trekken' in dutch.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm Jan Turkenburg:

hahahahaha
Avatar 1:53pm Paper Kosmonaut:

The simple minds were called Johnny and the self-abusers before they were called the Simple minds were called Johnny and the self-abusers before they were called the Simple minds were called Johnny and the self-abusers before they were called the Simple minds were called - STOP!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm Jan Turkenburg:

and a 'trekker' is also a tractor.. and there you have a world of inspiration...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm coelacanth∅:

there's a mr.spock image?
i see about 1/2 the songs have images, about 1/2 of those invisible until i click where they should be; then the rest have stars to "favorite" them, but no room for an image
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm chresti in tennis booth:

Thanks Jan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm coelacanth∅:

PK haha!
  1:55pm Martinibomb:

I'm going to do a random 1 hour squat! after Jan
Avatar 1:55pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Avatar 1:55pm HyperDose:

  1:56pm Martinibomb:

Avatar 1:56pm HyperDose:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks Jan!
Avatar 1:57pm Paper Kosmonaut:

Aaaaand on that dirty bombshell we say Thank you, Jan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:59pm coelacanth∅:

Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 1:59pm Mr Fab:

Ha, Martinibomb's gotta follow this. Looking forward to it, sir!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm chresti in tennis booth:
