Avatar 1:30pm HyperDose:

I wish it was new. Been in this apt for 11yrs. Looking to move once I get vaxxed.

Marshall puts the Luhan in the Mc
Avatar 1:31pm ironybread:

MC Luhan on the mike y'all
  1:32pm Brian B.:

Hello Taylor!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:32pm chresti:

Oof, I thought you had moved recently, Hyper.
Avatar 1:32pm ironybread:

Hi Martinibomb! Hi Brian!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Mr Fab:

What ho, Ironybread! Sitting in the Krispy Kreme drive thru to claim my free donut - got my first shot yesterday.
Avatar 1:35pm Buddy Runyan:

Hi, ironybread!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:35pm chresti:

Day 3 since I got vaxxed, had some discomfort yesterday, feel ok now.
Avatar 1:35pm ironybread:

Hiya Fab! One donut to cure a year's suffering please!
Avatar 1:37pm HyperDose:

@chresti Went and looked at a few places recently. They were a nightmare except for one. That place was above a pediatrician's office, so they want a non-smoker (which I totally get).
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:39pm chresti:

Is there a balcony or someplace you can smoke? Where are you looking?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:41pm chresti:

I've discovered the wonders of thc:cbd tinctures, recently.
Avatar 1:48pm HyperDose:

I'm looking around the Jersey City/Bayonne area. Lots of shady listings that say 2br when they counted the living room as a bedroom. Can't even fit a queen bed into most of the bedrooms I've seen. If I can't find something there I'll probably just pack up and get a small bungalow in Colorado.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm StringOFperils:

I wonder if Marshall McLuhan was an incredible bore at parties. Maybe he just needed to work with a different producer. Actually....he's a little dry on the page too, now that I think about it. Big ideas though.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:51pm WR:

i deeply read a couple of Marshall McLuhan books in the early 70s. this record seemed hokey and didn't interest me compared to the Firesign Theater albums. giving it another try today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:53pm StringOFperils:

Squeeze the wheeze. Many people like to. Go ahead...
Avatar 1:54pm HyperDose:

@StringOfPerils Ah, the Pauly Shore special!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:54pm WR:

And Ken Nordine, i guess i preferred explorations more than explications.
Avatar 1:55pm Buddy Runyan:

Our television names?
Avatar 1:57pm ironybread:

that copyright notice = the best "fuck you" to an obnoxious publisher in the history of record sampling
Avatar 1:57pm ironybread:

Hi Buddy!
Avatar 1:58pm Buddy Runyan:

Hi, ironybread!
Avatar 1:58pm ironybread:

John Simon, who produced this album, was a frequent collaborator with the guys in Firesign, and you can see him in Firesign's home movies when they were recording "Giant Rat of Sumatra"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm StringOFperils:

THAT is very interesting. Some insight into Firesign's prescience.
Avatar 2:01pm Buddy Runyan:

Huh, somebody just recited a line from “THX 1138!”
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:01pm chresti:

Hyper, good luck! It's been a while since I've looked for rentals, when I did I looked for guesthouses, little bungalows in courtyards, that kind of thing. A place above a business can be sweet because you can stomp around at night.
  2:02pm Martinibomb:

Happy Birthday, Buddy Runyan!
Avatar 2:03pm Buddy Runyan:

Thank you!
Avatar 2:08pm Buddy Runyan:

Electrically generated realities.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:08pm chresti:

Happy birthday Buddy!
Avatar 2:08pm ironybread:

John Simon is also the reason there's a recording of Carny talker Nate Eagle, whom he recorded in the early 1960s on an album that's still unreleased but which I'm trying like hell to get into print
Avatar 2:09pm ironybread:

Yes, Buddy, happy soon birthday!!
Avatar 2:10pm Buddy Runyan:

Thank you, chresti!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm StringOFperils:

Fudd's First Law. What goes in here. Must come out there.
Avatar 2:12pm Buddy Runyan:

Thank you, ironybread😮
  2:13pm Kat in Chicago:

Glad you’re feeling better chresti, happy birthday Buddy, hello all!
Avatar 2:16pm Buddy Runyan:

Hi, Kat
Avatar 2:16pm HyperDose:

Congrats on another trip around the sun, Buddy!
Exactly chresti! More opportunities closer to the city, but also more people. In addition to living next to a train, parking lot, and above a restaurant kitchen, it gets pretty noisy when the guy upstairs has his kids over. Leaning toward Colorado where the cheaper cost of living will go a long way in finding a more private residence.
Avatar 2:17pm Buddy Runyan:

  2:18pm Kat in Chicago:

I’m putting things in boxes for a move next week, no one under me at new place so I can stomp around and run my sewing machine at night and stuff
Avatar 2:19pm ironybread:

Hi Kat!
  2:20pm Martinibomb:

beep bloop watts yer number robot girl?
  2:21pm Martinibomb:

you'd think walking the dog in the rain would be a bad idea for a robot girl look what happened to K9 from season 17 of Doctor Who when he went into the Ocean!
Avatar 2:23pm HyperDose:

That's the next step. Get some rubbermaid bins, do the last consolidation of my stuff, and I'll be primed to move. Hope you found your dream digs, Kat!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:24pm chresti:

Kat, that sounds excellent!
Avatar 2:25pm Buddy Runyan:

How about the shorter, more efficient, “Afirm?”
  2:27pm Kat in Chicago:

I like the robot songs
  2:29pm Arvcúken:

AWW MAN did I really miss Strong Bad?? Fuck. Hi guys
Avatar 2:29pm ironybread:

Avatar 2:36pm ironybread:

Hey Buddy, do you recognize this guy's voice?
Avatar 2:37pm HyperDose:

Ex Machina messed me up in the best way. That synth from the end scene still gives me chills.
