Favoriting March 26, 2021: Incredibly Strange Music Vol. 2 - Chapter 1: Jello Biafra pt. 33 pg. 42 (Black Psychedelia + Celebrities Gone Wrong)
Things that I'm skipping in this part of the chapter: The section on dirty humor records, the section on cop killing songs, political songs by Nirvana and L7, and a couple other things mentioned here in passing ...just cause I don't feel like it, plus I wan't the main themes to fit within the 2 hour space :) Episode art by Michael Brunelle.

Ohio Players  Funky Worm   Favoriting 45 Single  Vale: "Were there other groups like Funkadelic and Parliament who didn't get famous?" Jello: "It may be a bottomless pit. Records that looked soul or disco may actually have been black psychedelic rock. Originally, the OHIO PLAYERS were very strange; there early single "Funky Worm" sounds like a Limelight attempt at recording the Legendary Stardust Cowboy.

I have this weird RFK related LP called Y that has an interview with Sirhan Sirhan, Bobby's last speech and even audio of the assassination. It's done by Doug Moody, who did all those goofy SoCal punk comps on Mystic.
Avatar 3:46pm
BC Sterrett:

Oh wow...
Avatar 3:48pm
BC Sterrett:

Anyone have opinions about the assassination? I'm of the few who don't believe that Oswald did it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm

I believe that one of the Oswald clones did it.

I still think the driver of the car did it.

I'm still undecided, BC. Maybe he was set up, or a dupe? // But, I still think the embargo against Cuba should be lifted.
