February 5, 2021: It's guitar o'clock
This radio show denounces explicit and implicit racism. It condemns the culture of White supremacy, which enables the brutalization of Black people and other communities of color. It supports Black Lives Matter and the movement it stands for. |

Listener comments!
Thanks! I just made that the title of today's show!
Howdy, northguineahills! And howdy to you, northguineahills' bitch!
No, just three hours of Stork. Three of me and three of he for a total of six. (But you do get three MORE hours of Stork on Sunday!)
Howdy-ho, dutchtheo! TDK60! still b/p!
Back when my mother-in-law still lived in Baton Rouge, my darling Jessie and I used head out to the southwest prairie into Cajun country. Had some fine étouffée along the way.
Yesindeedydo!
@Brian in UK
Have you heard about Yardi Gras? People are decorating the exteriors of their homes as if they were Mardi Gras floats, and folks are driving by them. Such a fantastic idea.
My wife's half-sister was in Lafayette. (Pronounced LAUGH-ay-yet.)
laf-i-yet
Well Lucinda and I are gonna have to agree to disagree.
I have marked your clicky-star in my heart.
TDK60, he seemed cool, read a book of his a while back.
Doug "Kaffeine"" Kershaw, amirite?!?
Mr C!!!
We won't hold that against him. Or against Elvin.
@bobdc
Binging on Farid al-Atrash sounds heavenly.
Not one bad millisecond with our dear Tom.
In you mind, who came in first, the Tortoise or the Tom Zé?
I just remembered I also saw Tom Ze at Tonic in 2003, a more intimate venue, and he was crazier and more fun (didn't know Portuguese back then).
And it's a Bandcamp Friday!!
Also to jazz tuba. Always looking forward to more of that. Jazz tuba with Mal Waldron? I die.
Well then, you're in luck. After this, we've got twoba, threeba, and fourba.
I never make things public until all the technical issues have been worked out. I'm superstitious that way.
(Hope there's not too much sibling rivalry between the Sunday DJs).
(Looks Interesting, will have to check them out. I do have a Gravity CD at home, not exactly the same, likely funkier)
"you might want to try the WoofMoo app in the Google play store, instead of the official WFMU app in there which is partially broken."
Thanks for sharing that. Many folks actually prefer that other app.
Not so. I have a 12 and the latest upgrade works fine on mine.
Don't try to fool us. We all know you listen on George Soros speakers!
Thank you, Sir!
Your first band in high school was Man! Woman! Camera! Person! TV!
Pittsburgh is fine. Still feel like I'm on extended vacation here. After 11 years.
C'mon, dude. You were crazy before this riff!
@Rich in Washington, I've been in the Roku ecosystem for video for some years now, so the tech pile has accumulated a few outdated players. Maybe I'll take your tip and adapt them for audio.
@Rich in Washington Early Rokus had the best dancing letters and music on startup.
You are rather well hung, too, my friend.

HELLO TO FRED!!!
I live in mortal terror of failing to greet someone to the playlist. (Of course, I'll blame it on my unpaid intern.)
I recall someone's published rant from 20 or more years ago in which the ranter said the tech industry was getting away with things no other industry could reasonably pull off -- releasing things with known bugs, releasing things with other unknown bugs certain to be discovered, releasing things certain to be obsolete within months, etc.
For the past 4-5 years I've been ending the show with a set of heartbreaking/heartmelting soul. Just seemed like the right thing to do.
@fred
I already provide a bowl of porridge and a straw mattress.
