Nice to have a little dose of Webern now and again.

My music history professor in college would joke "Well, it's quarter of noon, just enough time to listen to the complete works of Anton Webern before we go."

Good to be anywhere, most of all here. I enjoyed the Prokofiev buffoonery quite a bit.

I seem to remember reading that Webern composed a piece of music that, as the notes progressed to the middle of the song, at the exact center center... the notes reversed their way back out of the song. The piece went backwards, from the middle to the end! Now if that isn't Avant Garde ...

Bach did something comparable in the Musical Offering, playing one line against its time-reversal: see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUHQ2ybTejU

Apparently, Webern used palindromes in a number of works (Op. 20, 21, 27, etc.), something "easier" to manage in twelve-tone. Found a bachelor's thesis analyzing palindromes in Webern and Bartok: something to read later this evening...

Great concept for a show, consecutive numbers: in wine it's called a 'vertical tasting'!
