Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from April 2, 2021 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Can we just all agree that police officer is among those jobs in which you don't get to make a mistake? @StringofPerils
Tull got an ass whooping by the snobs at Rolling Stone. Didn't matter because their records still did well on the charts.

Sorry, don't know how that happened....blush.

Well, I figure music is music and fashion is fashion, and too often, especially in places like Rolling Stone, the twain actually DO meet.

my dad stumbled on Tull and brought home a steady stream of their albums. I inherited them and then passed them on to WFMU when I dumped all of my vinyl...

Capitol building on lockdown after a reported shooting. Jesus, what is happening to this country?

May not have found myself going to Tull as a listening choice in - several decades. But never really had a problem with them. & more recently Stang on the Hour of Slack put 'My God' in a playlist - & yerknow - it's great. That stuff used to mean something to me...

@Lewis
My dad swears by the first 4 albums as the best era of Tull. Especially, "Benefit". We saw Tull in 2008 at Jones Beach during their 40th anniversary and the bulk of the show were from the early years.
