Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from February 26, 2021 Favoriting

Uncle Michael's avatar View Uncle Michael's profile Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

Mom talk, sigh, prompted by loss. Again, sorry, Franco. You and I were in similar situations for several months. My mom died last May...almost a year ago...jeez.

My mom also introduced me to Johnny Mathis, but I still like him. One of my early purchases was the Hair soundtrack, which I played on the front room console. The song "Sodomy" is playing and she heads to the front room from the kitchen to ask, "What is that you're listening to?" "It's the Hair soundtrack, Mom." "Oh, huh, okay."
