A live, improvised sound collage experiment, going back 28 years, weaving mesmerizing new soundscapes from found and collected materials right in the present moment.
Pop music, speeches, live phone calls and spontaneous monologues become ambient loopy layered threads riding the liminal spaces between waking and dreaming. [On hiatus.] (Visit homepage.)

Or rather, pulled under.
  5:26pm Sandra:

Hi Ken, was this when you were in Austin?
Avatar 5:29pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

It sure was. 304 E 5th St.
Avatar 5:37pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

And, there's the whole sample listing, all out of order.
Avatar 5:51pm Ian!:

I am in order. The chair will recognize me, even without my glasses.
Avatar 6:00pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Self-recognition furnishings.
Avatar 6:02pm Ian!:

The curtains were drawn, but the furniture was real. (Spike Milligan)
Avatar 6:03pm Ian!:

I want this cello music. What is it?
Avatar 6:04pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Probably Vivaldi. But it only comes with Reagan included.
Avatar 6:04pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

I only collage add, not collage remove * (*not true)
Avatar 6:05pm Ian!:

I went to collage years ago. Psychology and then Computer Science. Quite the collage.
Avatar 6:09pm Ian!:

Reagan's musical voice is in three flats, because he had to move three times while composing it.
Avatar 6:09pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

The day of this collage was the day his final decomposition began.
Avatar 6:14pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

How dare someone interrupt Reagan
Avatar 6:15pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

@Ian! It is (a few copies of) a Vivaldi cello concerto
Avatar 6:16pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

in E minor, third movement
Avatar 6:19pm Ian!:

I am powerless against cellos in E minor.

Boy, I forgot what a despicable old gas bag Reagan was. Thanks for reminding me.
Avatar 6:24pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Never Forget.
Avatar 6:26pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Oh - Ronnie was a turning point.
Avatar 6:27pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Jello Biafra
Avatar 6:28pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

This one, after he'd been under for a week.
Avatar 6:30pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Jello Biafra is a turning point.
Avatar 6:31pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

In fact I don't think the DKs get enuff cred for how much they dropped amphetamine into peoples' social conscience.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm Franco Twinkie:

I only saw them once in 1980 with The Cramps and X. I found them tedious after the first ten minutes. I'll admit I was having a bad night, but by then the whole punk rock circus was wearing a little thin.
Avatar 6:37pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

His speeches are quite great.
Avatar 6:39pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

'Having seen how much they can take out & still have Rawk
- now they are seeing how much they can put back & still be the Ramones.'
- possibly my brother.

When the nation went for a lousy B-Movie fraud for Leader of the Free World
...what a sad Puppet Show it all is...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm Franco Twinkie:

True that, RR.
Avatar 6:46pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...is there more underemployment...I mean...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm Franco Twinkie:

Put a sock in your mouth, Ronnie.
Avatar 6:53pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Refreshingly dense after the previous half-hour episode.
Avatar 6:55pm Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Thanks everyone for coming along for these lovely collage memories. See you next week, with somethings!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm chresti:

Thanks Kenzo!
Avatar 6:56pm Ian!:

MORE CELLOS
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58pm Franco Twinkie:

I remember that day. I came home for lunch and it was all over TV. Weird, to say the least.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:59pm chresti:

Haha
