Levels are waaaayyyyyyy down.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm doctorjazz:

Is there ANY level? Silence off my computer...
Avatar 4:02pm northguineahills:

now, it's the opposite...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:02pm doctorjazz:

Now I hear you, but sounds a bit overloaded, distorted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm doctorjazz:

Must be trans-Atlantic flight stress/decompression!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm Scraps h’m (h’m):

OW
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm David D:

Sorry about all this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm Scraps h’m (h’m):

my ears!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm Scraps h’m (h’m):

:-)
Avatar 4:04pm northguineahills:

way, distorted!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm doctorjazz:

Still has that overload/distorted sound.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm David D:

I will try to restart things - thanks for sticking with me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm David D:

Was the intro okay in the beginning?
Avatar 4:10pm kimzilla:

You made it back alive!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm David D:

Hi Kim! I did but now I'm in the time-change studio 1, which isn't streaming properly.
Avatar 4:11pm kimzilla:

You sound ok to me. But what do i know!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm doctorjazz:

Sounding good now!
Are you still in New Jersey?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm David D:

That is the stream going, not me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm doctorjazz:

(signal maybe a bit low, judging by the volume I need to set to hear it, but clear, no big deal to have the volume up higher...until the next show comes in at higher levels and blasts me, of course).
  4:15pm Tamar:

Clearly, you need to come back to the States and streamcast in the WFMU studios.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:15pm David D:

Someone must have changed something here in the old back-up studio. I will keep trying to fix it. Otherwise I'll go on at 5pm in the usual studio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm David D:

Hi Tamar! I may not make it back in time for this show, unfortunately.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm David D:

Okay, I'll start the show again - please let me know if it sounds bearable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm doctorjazz:

Am I hearing the stream? Jazz sax
Avatar 4:18pm northguineahills:

still distorted a bit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm doctorjazz:

Yup, got the intro, but your voice still distorted.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm David D:

Yes, I have no idea what happened here. It always worked before. I'll be back on air from 5-7pm today...
Avatar 4:20pm Jeff Moore:

Good choice, David - clearly that studio sucks. The other one will be better!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm David D:

Hi Jeff! Yes, it used to work okay but not great. I think someone must have done something that isn't readily apparent to me anyway.
Avatar 4:21pm kimzilla:

All signs point to you coming back to Studio C in Jersey City!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25pm David D:

That would be great, Kim! My usual studio here normally works very well - but due to the time change lag (we'll catch up by next week) I have to broadcast from here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:27pm Uncle Michael:

David is strictly Studio A material.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm David D:

Hi Michael! Have a beer with your rain delay.
Avatar 4:31pm antiparticle:

Checking in from the pool... I think I might be a little out of place with today's theme... Hello to all you snowed-in folks. David, sorry you're having technical difficulties. I look forward to half an hour from now :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:34pm Brian in UK:

Hello David. Look forward to hearing you soon.
Snow is disappearing here but a bitterly cold East wind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:36pm David D:

Hi Antiparticle and Brian - yes, I will wait this blizzard out, I may have a workaround but it may prove messy as well, so back on at 5pm...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm Parq:

Hi, David, glad you made it home okay. Also glad you had fun during your visit stateside. Finally, glad I didn't miss the start of your show, even though I imagine an hour of tech problems may have taken months off your life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm doctorjazz:

Blizzard predicted for tonight NY/NJ area, 10 inches snow or so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:03pm Brian in UK:

Sounds good so far.
Avatar 5:03pm antiparticle:

Yay! There you are!
Avatar 5:04pm antiparticle:

Maybe it's just me, but you are way louder than the music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm David D:

Hello Parq and hello again Doc, Brian, and antiparticle! Glad you could stick around through my technical blizzard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm doctorjazz:

Sounding good on this end (the Lui Fang is coming through nicely).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm David D:

Yes, all is back to normal - it would be terrible if neither studio worked!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:06pm Brian in UK:

.......and relax.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm David D:

And thanks Parq! Things went relatively smoothly and I was back in time for the show as hoped.
Avatar 5:19pm antiparticle:

I really enjoyed Light Wind in a Cloud of Falling Snowflakes. Thank you for sharing your treatsures with us, David :)
Avatar 5:19pm antiparticle:

Haha treatsures... Best edit/typo ever.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25pm TheRealMattClarke:

Glad you made it home safe. It was really great meeting you during the marathon this year! (Hearty and I made it back safely to Kentucky. It's springtime now and about to snow here too. Blah.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm David D:

Matt! Great to meet you too and see you here as well. Take cover from that snow!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:47pm doctorjazz:

Really enjoyed meeting you at the Mothership, David!
Time to leave Staten Island, will take you to the car, thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm David D:

Yes, it was great meeting you in person, too, doctorjazz! Have a safe ride home...
Avatar 5:54pm northguineahills:

Voted in my first FL election in 20 years (I had yet to get my BA the last time).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm David D:

A primary I suppose, NGH?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm David D:

And thanks, Antiparticle. Sorry I'm also falling behind on the comments.
Avatar 5:59pm northguineahills:

No, just a local at large city council position (shortest ballot I've ever seen). I met one of the canidates. She spent time in Brooklyn as I did, she has a lot of support in my neighborhood, let's see if the rest of the town does as well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04pm David D:

Well it all starts at the local level - or so they say.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:07pm kuba:

heyo! first check-in from łódź, just got here, on my way to bed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm David D:

Shout out to Łódź! Which I just did on air by the way with all the post-show pledges - so thanks again!
Avatar 6:10pm northguineahills:

Áskell Másson, new to me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm David D:

Here's his homepage: www.askellmasson.com
Avatar 6:12pm northguineahills:

I've been to Iceland and Japan, coincidence???? (yes!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm David D:

There must be a hidden meaning to it all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:19pm Parq:

Liking everything I hear but I'm moved to comment how much I like this Halvorson.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:20pm TheRealMattClarke:

Yeah man. Love this Halvorson.
Avatar 6:22pm northguineahills:

@Parq: Kevin Shea from WFMU's Gig Talk plays in many ensembles w/ Mary (sometimes as a duo).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:23pm Scraps h’m h’mmmm:

Mary Halverson is so great! Had to get up and say that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm David D:

I agree entirely - she is fantastic!
Avatar 6:27pm northguineahills:

Greg Haines, also new to me....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31pm Scraps h’m h’mmmm:

Halvorson, grrrr. I know how to spell her name, why I didn’t god knows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34pm Scraps h’m h’mmmm:

Yay!
Avatar 6:34pm northguineahills:

yaye, Scraps!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34pm TheRealMattClarke:

Yay Scraps
Avatar 6:38pm antiparticle:

Next time around we will obviously expect you to deliver flawless pronunciation of all titles in all languages ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm Scraps h’m h’mmmm:

I’m still lying down just as soon as I comment here; I often do, because of pain attendant to my stroke ten years ago. But I’m often listening, especially to the Drummer Stream. Cheers!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm David D:

Thanks, antiparticle, I will practice in front of a mirror next time (although I never actually understood how that was supposed to help).
Avatar 6:41pm northguineahills:

rain w/ snow!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm David D:

Thanks again Scraps - I'm glad you're there listening!
Avatar 6:43pm antiparticle:

I assume it only works if you have someone to compare your mouth movements to... I suppose you'll just have to find a native speaker for every featured language, that's not too much to ask is it? ;)
Avatar 6:47pm antiparticle:

This Agua E'Nieve is adorable. And with that, I'm off to work. Thanks again & buenas noches :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm David D:

Antiparticle, now there's an idea for a youtube channel. Thanks for listening!
Avatar 6:48pm antiparticle:

I like the way you think :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm Brian in UK:

Hail Scraps.

Morpheus calling.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52pm David D:

Good night, Brian!
Avatar 6:55pm northguineahills:

Thanks David!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:00pm David D:

Thanks everyone for sticking with me tonight - have a great week!
