SUNDAY AUGUST 29th

7pm - 9pm: Transpacific Sound Paradise with Rob Weisberg Listen here (RealAudio)
Two hours of politically-themed music from around the world. Transpacific Sound Paradise unilaterally imposes a ban on all music except: Songs from around the world that are in some way associated with politics. These include but are not be limited to: Anthems, political party songs, songs advocating policy, songs praising or lambasting political figures, and songs about famous political events or associated with political events or movements.

The George W. Bush re-mixing gets kicked off by sonic pioneers The Big City Orchestra, as originally broadcast on WFMU's Re:Mixology program.

10pm - 12 midnight: Stochastic Hit Parade with Bethany Ryker Listen here (RealAudio)
Bethany plays audio recordings from her weekend counter-convention activities. Highlights include Pauline Oliveros' Ringout at the World Trade Center site on Saturday -- in which 3000+ bells were played in remembrance of 9/11 to "Ring out" the Republicans. Bethany also hunted and gathered sounds in the midst of the thousands who gathered together Sunday afternoon.

Robert Greenwald's film rips open the Fox News beast and exposes the inner workings of Murdoch's propaganda network. Ex-Fox employees, media watchdogs, and people whose reputations have been smeared by Fox News detail the unfair and off-balance methods of the Republican TV media machine that masquerades as a news channel. Those with weak stomachs may enjoy this documentary without having to look at the makeup-encrusted faces of Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity.

Florida is one of just a handful of states that permanently disenfranchises anyone convicted of felony. Some say this law -- enacted during reconstuction when freed slaves first got the right to vote -- disproportionally affects the African American community, and could help determine the outcome of the coming presidential election. For an in-depth analysis of Florida's problematic law and its looming implications, we turn to voting rights expert Jessie Allen. As associate counsel for the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law, Allen is lead attorney in a major Federal voting and civil rights suit challenging Florida's permanent voting ban for felons.
