Personal statement:

There was a day -- This was when I was on the Aircraft Carrier, when after playing the Golden Earrings live cassette once I started to play it again. The tape's owner stopped me saying "This is bad music. This is what you play at 1:00 am when the party is losing steam." I had no particular aesthetic at the time. A few years later deciding there was no future in being an adrenaline junky I switched from listening to Minor Threat to the Gun Club and Flesh eaters.
