The McDonalds wasps In a Miasma above the bins in the streetlight beam.
Casey Casem vanishes cackling from a rain inflated magazine.
This is how it is, how it will be has always been.
It’s 19am.

You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Welcome to 19am.

David, all good cheers. Just need some coffee and I will be perfect. Et vous?
  3:20am
David in London:

Nulsh, maybe a slight fuzzy head from an emergency pre-Tier 2 pub visit last night, but otherwise fine.

Morning Guido.

Hi @Stanley.
  3:53am
David in London:

Stanley, it was bloomin’ lovely. Pub was much busier than I expected. Very lively. I think a lot of other people were also getting them in before we are bumped up into crocodile Tier 2.

Mornin' Kevin-san.

Phil, the setlists are normally posted a day or two after the show. Stan will list the tracks in the next break.

@Phil: the Stan playlist usually reaches our dimension over the weekend, do not question this, it is The Stan Way, The Only Way

Stanley, David! The RGS OB's reunion! And I am always impressed by those who know what Stan is playing real time. I was happy I recognized Traffic a couple weeks ago :P

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55am
Stanley:

I got the Acid Mothers Temple but hey, they're almost mainstream!
  4:59am
David in London:

Kevin, I was actually back in Bucks a couple of weeks ago and took a taxi to Amersham, so I passed the old RGS again. Looked much the same.
Avatar 5:01am
Nulsh:

This is bloody marvellous!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05am
Stanley:

David - I wonder what it's like walking up the hill from the High Street, at my age.
  5:08am
David in London:

Stanley, I did wonder that! I used to do that every day? And carrying a bag that was half the size I was!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11am
Stanley:

Same here. Heading down the back way, stopping off at the cemetary, for a smoke, was much easier.
  5:14am
David in London:

I used to rather quite like that walk down through the cemetery. And more than a few schoolboy rumbled happened there over the years, didn’t they? Haha.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18am
Kevin-san:

The scenic cemetery path, with the (sometimes) scenic LV girls, I remember it well!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18am
Stanley:

Haha. Used to hide my fags in the woods, strategically placed, on the route of the sadistic cross country runs they made us do.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:20am
Stanley:

Ha Kevin. I wasn't going to mention the LV girls. The main reason why I signed up for the joint exchange trips to Germany!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21am
Stanley:

So cute in their greeen and black uniforms and those hats!
  5:22am
David in London:

The Derek Stubbs cross country special!
The LV girls in green. Sigh.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23am
Stanley:

Fuck me, David, you remember!
  5:26am
David in London:

As horrible as cross country was, I was actually quite good at it, and did it by choice. I ran for the school in a few tournaments. Anything to get out of rugby - I was so thin that I just got absolutely battered in it. Anything else was preferable.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:28am
Kevin-san:

Sigh indeed! I had the pleasure of Oakdene girls on my way to the train, as an added bonus. Ugh, I did the XC too, had no interest in rugby
  5:29am
lis-boner pasc:

Maroon coloured sportswear for our cross country, being out of breath and the smell of mud! PE wasn’t all that bad but my goodness was it cold.

Greetings from Paris — It’s attempting to be sunny! Thanks Stan
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30am
Stanley:

Yeah, anything to get out of rugby. As a form of torture I was made to play hooker in the scrum where I would get pummeled and left for dead when play moved on.
Aye, them wa tha' days.
  5:31am
David in London:

Pasc, hello! Maroon! Not a colour seen enough these days.

jdaAndAnoukFromKöln:

hi all and good morning stan
  5:37am
David in London:

Stanley. That made me laugh out loud. Post Covid we’ll have to get Kevin back and hold a game ‘for old times sake’... You can be hooker once more.
  5:37am
David in London:

Morgen Koln!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39am
Stanley:

Kevin-san: the real prize was dating a girl from Wycombe Abbey. They were only allowed out on Saturdays. Of course, we only dreamt.
  5:39am
lis-boner pasc:

Maroon is so distinctive and not used enough. Fab with murky English winter greys. I just moved to France from Portugal and the light here is so far from Iberian hazy orange, I get flashbacks from this colder grey here in France, just like UK
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41am
Stanley:

David - the refrain "feed the ball, laddie" still haunts me.
  5:41am
lis-boner pasc:

Also the smells here in Paris! It’s so similar to England, nothing like the dusty clammy smells of Portugal. Winter emerging in grey France, smells so distinctive and just like England!
  5:43am
David in London:

Stanley, there’s actually a small fragment of film of Glenn Miller playing at Wycombe Abbey late on in WW2. I think he was hoping to date one of the girls too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44am
Kevin-san:

Stanley: yes, to dream of a Wycombe Abbey girl, sigh... thanks for the stroll down memory lane boys, I must away!
  5:45am
David in London:

TTFN Kevin.
Stanley, everything about Jock Learmonth haunts me!
  5:46am
David in London:

Pasc, Iberian hazy orange sounds very nice right about now. Where are you in France now?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:48am
Stanley:

Wow. of course the Americans used it as their Air Force HQ in WW2 with the base up the hill.
See you Kevin, stay well.

Thanks David, I'll look at that.
Thanks for another superlative show, Stan.
Take care everyone.

David in London:

Great show today Stan, thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15am
Lisboner Pasc:

Aye the Lisbon matt haze is distinctive, apparently it’s to do with the proximity to Africa (Morocco’s desert dust particles).

I’m in the 4th Arr. in Paris, strange my like England where I grew up. Get in touch if you’re ever in my neck of the woods.

Bon weekend all!!
