although i did not get to see John & Yoko, or Janis Joplin (guessing my parents would not *allow* this? or the show was on too late, past my bedtime?) -- i DID get to watch when The Rolling Stones were at Madison Square Garden for a week in 1972 -- my Mom even liked them, she adored that Jagger knew and appreciated Classical music -- not sure how often Cavett interviewed Jagger, but i recall him asking Jagger, "Can you picture yourself doing this when you're 60?" and Jagger calmly replying "oh yes!"
