Hey James on the couch, I am in the kitchen!

Hey all! Pretty quiet start here but things will pick up...slowlly

That throaty sibilance made me think my espresso maker was bubbling over.

Almost done w/ work. Sounds like Ferrari’s late work.

Hey Brian! There's no way to know that it isn't though, better make a shot to be sure.

Hi northguineahills! welcome to the rest of your day :)
Hi spodiodi!

Just got back from camping, which is why the espresso-maker sound is imprinted — along with loon calls.
Avatar 7:14pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

oh cool, I was camping this weekend at white lake in nh, the loons reverberating around the lake were incredible!
Avatar 7:15pm
βrian:

Lemme know when you do a loon show, btw.
Avatar 7:17pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

I made a long recording but have to see, there was a lot of traffic noise too
  7:20pm
northguineahills:

Driving home from work. Odd to hear on the highway.

listener james from westwood:

All-leather loon show?
  7:30pm
johnzo:

this is waaaayyy more entertaining than the sound of actual cars going by outside my house... plus when they sync up it's like Im listening in stereo!
Avatar 7:32pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

@james, not ruling it out!
Avatar 7:33pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

@johnzo, haha I'm going to push to add a cattle guard to my street, I feel like I could get a neighborhood consensus
Avatar 7:43pm
βrian:

We don't have cattle guards, but we do have some goofy little round traffic islands at some intersections.

The cattle seem to think these are roundabouts, which makes for haphazard traffic flow.
Avatar 7:51pm
βrian:

There was *zero* traffic noise at our "loon lake," but that did mean driving 4.5 hours with a six-year-old in the back seat.

The weather differential, alone, made it worth it.
Avatar 7:57pm
βrian:

The cattle have decided to clear a path with a chainsaw?
Avatar 7:58pm
Jesse Kaminsky:

There's real rural drama unfolding here
Avatar 8:01pm

If only Gary Larson could illustrate!

Well, the internet *is* for corn, after all.

Seeing Ellen Fullman live is still on my bucket list. (10-20 m strings put in a gallery, and have her stoke them w/ resin to sound like Eliane Radiague/Phil Niblock....
Avatar 8:37pm
northguineahills:

Room 40 is an excellent record label. They are based originally in Melbourne, Australia, and put out a dear friend of mine's (dj olive) first electro-acoustic turntabiliezed record.
