Apropos of not much, I don't remember which commenter tipped me off to this, or even which playlist it was, but I'm really enjoying foods from J&H Farm, a Korean-Syrian deli on Prospect Park West in Bklyn. Great packaged ban chan, muhammara, and baba ghanough, and solid homemade kimchi as well.

Since mid 2000s when the band "Él Mató a un policía motorizado" became popular there has been an indie movement revolving around the label LAPTRA, you can start from there. And you possibly know Juana Molina, to me the best of Argentina but she is quite famous internationally already
