I had this train of thought the other day tripped out in a migraine....

I think the doom of our planet may be due to the fact that the planet was overrun by a religious outlook generated in a desert. When you live in a barren dry wasteland, it makes sense to foster the idea that earth is to be tamed for humanity to survive. You HAVE to, or you won't eat. But superimposing that outlook on a verdant jungle, the majority of north america where indiginous people were tending to and terraforming the land to provide to them naturally, or the Amazon where the same was happening...
