	6:09am audiocarp: I thought that was Nina Simone. Holy crap! I had no idea what a lousy singer she was. This song by GIlbert O' Sullivan always irritated me (and I'm old enough to remember when this was a hit on the radio: 1972). But, this was the first time I actually paid attention to the lyrics. So, the lyrics are deep, but the song structure (with that irritating hook), is horrible and tawdry. It's a really bad fit, Mr. O'Sullivan. I just found out that according to Wikipedia, Nina Simone changed the lyrics somewhat... One final beef: Who the hell names their kid "Gilbert O'Sullivan"?
