  11:34am
Martinibomb:

just that one hiccup so far
  11:35am
Martinibomb:

you're okay right now it's mostly good if it's not wifi okay... it's just internet stuff. If you're running zoom it might be sucking up some bandwidth etc..

It might be worth buying another ethernet port for your computer. It's possible the hardware on your computer is faulty. A new ethernet card is cheap like $15
  11:47am
Martinibomb:

Mayuko! Nice to see you
Avatar 11:47am
Jason Elbogen:

Hey Mayuko! Coincidence! Yesterday my family saw an installation piece of yours 3 blocks from my home!
Avatar 11:47am
Jason Elbogen:

Forest Hills--you were one of the people who worked on it, right?
  11:47am
Martinibomb:

@u might also try moving the ethernet cable to a different port on your router - possible the router is having an issue there
  11:49am

I was getting drops on my PC and I replaced the built-in wifi and now it works perfect.

@Martinibomb Nice to see you too and to be here!

@Jason That's great! There are a couple of stuff I involved in Forest Hills, mural and a sculpture installation... I wonder which one you guys saw?
  11:51am
Martinibomb:

It's my hypothesis that most of the connection issues wfmu djs have experienced are due to faulty hardware and not the ISP
  11:51am
Martinibomb:

@Mayuko I wanna see your installation. I didn't know you were an artist!

Otis Fodder:

Good slighty-after-noon everyone. Hi Jason. Happy post-birthday Jan, missed the past 2 days here, sucked into a time vortex.
  12:06pm
Martinibomb:

yeh that's his background music Mayuko.. Jason has a 2fold issue. 1. Mixxx keeps crashing on him. 2. Internet drops and they are unrelated. So that's two issues to work on.
  12:07pm
Martinibomb:

@Mayuko was your show remote or did you goto the station? I'm just curious what your remote setup is if you have one.
Avatar 12:10pm
Mayuko:

Jason seems to have been cursed by Radio God for quite some time now. My show was remote too, I had an extremely simple set up. I would convert everything into digital files and play them with a usb mixer and mixxx.
Avatar 12:11pm
Mr Fab:

Hey Jason (and all radio argonauts). Things seems to be going well in recent moments? Lovely stuff. Fingers crossed!
Avatar 12:12pm
Mayuko:

@Martinibomb & it feels funny to answer the other question you had at this timing, but I was gonna say the installation Jason saw wasn't my work - I was in the team developed it with NYC Parks. It's a fun job!
  12:13pm

@mayuko must be a big installation that's always super fun working on something creative like that with other people.

I just tuned in at Noon, but so far the drops have been few. I'm sure after MB helps you Jason, it will help with issues considerably. The journey in drops and technical diffs is frustrating I know on your end... but from this listener's standpoint, it's sometimes fun.

Thanks for saying that, PK! So many stations are either just playing reruns, or DJs pre-record a show from home and send it in to the station. WFMU is very unique in having so many live-from-home shows.
