	4:42pm Dean: Still haven't made it through the 34CD Scott Ross traversal of Scarlatti sonatas, but I have heard all 26 of the Anthology of the Recorder. Of all four recent-ish acquisitions, I'm going to guess that the Ross box is the winner. Utterly beautiful music utterly beautifully performed. Each disk improves upon the prior one.

	4:49pm Dean: I was immunized against giant box sets around the time of the Ross release in 1988, when KPFK played the whole thing start to finish. I tried to listen to as much as possible then. Only acquired it last year, though!

	4:52pm Dean: Entirely harpsichord, recorded in two or three venues, so the sound varies a little from disc to disc, particularly given the vintage.
