oh man, another song with a personal connection to my life! My mom used to be a clown, a trade she learned from Terry Teen himself, who was also sort of her agent, getting her clown gigs. She wouldn't say why but she did say he was very strange. And I do remember a newspaper story involving his hoarding tendencies. The neighbors called to complain about it.
