An interview with Geoff Muldaur, on the release of "Private Astronomy - A vision of the Music of Bix Beiderbecke"
People may not associate the music of jazz trumpeter Bix Beiderbecke with Geoff Muldaur, but they certainly will after hearing his new album project, "Private Astronomy: A Vision of the Music of Bix Beiderbecke." Geoff's written new orchestrations to the piano pieces Beiderbecke wrote and put together the Futuristic Ensemble to play this music and other Bix-related numbers. Also on the project are special guests like Loudon Wainwright III and daughter Martha Wainwright. It's a remarkable album that refuses to leave my CD player. Geoff stopped by to talk about the project.
