hmmm not sure---while I was playing drums in my band 23 (very brit pop/shoegaze style)--I had also started Djing and then got my first sampler---at some point things collided--

Was that Mpc your first sampler or did you try anything else before that? I had an old Amiga with an 8bit sampler that's what got me into it.
