Hi Jeffrey Davison. just returned from the ER last night after spending all afternoon and evening there. This music is my drug of choice. IT's just the right mix of nuance and serenity. Didn't mean to concern u with thw whole hospital fiasco. i am better now. Rather not elaborate if that's ok.

Good morning Nulsh; Buddha sorry to hear about ER trip. Was just awoken by shouting outside. For some reason I thought it was a protest but kind of early for that.

Morning Prudy, it is a beautiful day on this small planet; and most folks mean well I figure..
  7:17am
adrian in mpls:

yeah - the current reactionary moment is scary - and assholes definitely feel emboldened. I’m trans and obviously the current admin wants to get rid of our rights - but at least generally we have a lot more legal protections now - but of course this varies based on where you live
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20am
fred:

@prudy and TDK60: Over here the national fiasco is scheduled for tomorrow, when "fine people" are poised to win an election by a wide margin. They don't mean well

@prudy: What makes it even more sad to me is that I think nationalism and tribalism are a big part of their problems. The old divide and conquer. The ultra-rich who rule us don't acknowledge borders

..it's interesting, we're encouraged to avoid politics/etc. on WFMU. I usually do. On this show it does get more political; when such comes up, most people here do have a "It's a small planet" attitude. (We need not all agree.) Mostly, we can and do discuss the fine music.

  8:13am

fred, no apologies necessary. as long as respect is present and sensitive to nuance, I think..
Avatar 8:13am
TDK60:

Fred, not at all, you haven't spoiled the board, you are one among the rest of us discussing the world for a bit here. No problem. And I hear steel strings vibrating over a wood box so it's ok, (or is that a Spanish guitar with nylon strings? hee.)

also, this is just one guy's opinion, here, but i find the next show a little too "perky" for my saturday morning tastes. although, i can't think of a more appropriate time for that particular show, i find myself putting on some records instead. and then, tuning back in for the Shelley show.
