I play music that is old and that is new. Some of it is digital while some is analog. It is from many different countries; sometimes it is loud and at other times it is quiet.

@P-90 Singing along to that track for 8 min would give me short breath and vertigo which is only appropriate.

@Dropof Do I really know if all of you here online are really human? Hard to tell these days. Possibly some of you are bots with excellent taste?

The paradox about bots online is that the most sophisticated ones that might convince someone that they are “real” are Russian-made. But their flaw is that they all have TERRIBLE taste.

@Mayuko@12:17, even though I’m a copy editor, I don’t speak correct English 24 hours a day, or even 2.4 minutes a day, because I’m too tongue-tied and mush-mouthed. I only scribble the wordings good-ish 24 hours.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm

Rich in Washington:

Someone needs to invent a Voight-Kampf-like test to flush out bots.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm
Dropof Goldensun:

@Mayuko - There is a possibility we do have some bots listening but their taste is always debatable. As far as non human, I'm pretty sure wfmu transmissions reaching far out into space have drawn some serious attention to this planet. Just speculation of course.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:34pm
Uncle Michael:

If I hosted a copy editors conference, the gift baskets would include red pencils and instructions for everyone to copy-edit ll of the hotel's signage, menus, amenities guides, etc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm
Uncle Michael:

Then we'd all play capture the flag throughout the premises...Chicago Elements v. A.P.
Avatar 12:42pm
Mayuko:

@Ike I imagine being imperfect is kinda requirement for a copy editor otherwise you can't imagine what other imperfect humans are trying to say/write. Probably still more time for AI/bots to take over your job!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm
Dropof Goldensun:

For all we know, Voight and Kampff both could have been "skin jobs."

I saw a Jal Tarang concert, an Indian percussion instrument made of porcelain bowls of different sizes arranged in a semi circle in front of the player. Tuning is done by adjusting the water in the bowls. Nice sound, and the guy was very skilled

Speaking of sound, I saw Suzanne Ciani last week, and the sound was really great. And yesterday I saw a piece by Eliane Radigue performed on a church pipe organ. Also, last week I saw a great Jandek concert, and the fun part is that I later saw him dance in the back of the venue during another set
