I'm gonna be listening again (and not hitting myself) while digging through records at the Goodwill. Thanks for being the soundtrack!
  7:03pm
Martinibomb:

Do you regularly hit goodwil on mondays?
Avatar 7:09pm
Mr Fab:

I recently found a few cool things at a Goodwill, inc a school band record (they do a Cream medley, & a couple early Chicago covers), and a Carib record by Calypso Rose, She does a song called "My Little Pussy" which the previous owner put a star next to. Still a few goodies out there in thrift-land.

Mr Fab:

Yeah, I thought that too, Rich. She seemed so happy to off herself.

Martinibomb:

Kim Fowley is the best. I think I heard this song on WFMU for the first time like 15/20 yrs ago
Avatar 7:24pm
Mr Fab:

earlier today, I added this very song to the Sheena stream. Spacebrother and I thinking about Kim Fowley at the same time is pretty disturbing.

Mr Fab:

I was so happy when i came across an entire CD of "Kids Pow Wow Songs" They do versions of many other kid's show themes. Heap good stuff.
Avatar 7:32pm
spacebrother:

I screwed up. “Suicide” was referenced on “McCartney” not “Ram.”
Avatar 7:33pm
spacebrother:

They had that Black Lodge CD at the Autry Museum. They seemed embarrassed to sell it to me.
Avatar 7:34pm
spacebrother:

Ok. Back to it. Enjoy, all!

if the FBI had listened to this version, they'd think that the lyrics are clean, but Julie sings 'em dirty.
Avatar 7:47pm
Mr Fab:

Was amazed to learn years after my boyhood fandom of "Emergency" that not only was nurse Dixie the same thrush that sang "Cry Me A River," but doctor Bobby Troup was the guy that wrote "Get Your Kicks on Route 66." What a show!
