@Itzall Ablurr: on Bandcamp they do get something, and 1$ for a song seems fair to me (they'll get most of it). But please don't use iTunes, ever. Apple is evil. They'll take at least a 40% cut, and charge the artist even more to make tracks available, then will only deal with middlemen who take their own cut, but then act as gatekeepers who demand their share, you get the drift. The actual artist might get 1% on that model
