Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:16pm markr:

Glad you could stop by, coel...
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:22pm herb.nyc:

Hi mark. Yr 3am show was way cool, when I was sleeping. During waking hours, I realize you play some weird sh*t. Rock on!
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:23pm markr:

Thank you (I think!)
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:23pm Sig:

I'm proud and here, just that
  Sun. 6/24/18 10:33pm katharsis:

Hellos, this is a cheerful tune.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:36pm herb.nyc:

I keep meaning to listen to the Bob Balaban interview you did. I shall. -- George Cameron died suddenly, he of the Left Banke. I saw the band at Littlefield, 5,6...yrs ago. So so good. RIP.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:39pm markr:

Oh, wow, I loved that song "Walk Away Renee," so much.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:44pm markr:

If you guys have headphones on, I'm finding that the music I've been playing tonight gets better the louder you listen to it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 6/24/18 10:46pm medson:

I just have ya turned up loud on my receiver !!!
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:46pm Sig:

I'll turn it down, or will I?
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:48pm markr:

As long as it's LOUD!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 6/24/18 10:49pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Yes, loud and proud!
  Sun. 6/24/18 10:49pm herb.nyc:

And I love love Billy Bragg's "walk away (version)" while good friend hates hates it. George Cameron joked about marijuana joint at the show, and lo and behold, one fell out of his pocket (by accident).
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 6/24/18 10:52pm medson:

Same here sounds great loud . Had a problem cap replaced and its ready to sing for another 40 yrs
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:53pm Sig:

Oh I am digging the justifaction
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 10:53pm coelacanth∅:

i just heard "she may call you up tonight" on an ichiban show earlier, which i like even more than walk away renee (but not as much as "pretty balerina")
  Sun. 6/24/18 10:55pm zenkoan:

Just tuning in--this is usually the new time slot for Avant Ghetto, isn't it?
  Sun. 6/24/18 10:56pm herb.nyc:

"Pretty ballerina" !!!
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:00pm markreichard:

Yes, Zoan, I'm just filling in this week--Jeff will be back next week.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:03pm coelacanth∅:

i hope it flies slowly past the microphone!
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:12pm coelacanth∅:

there's a track by either Jan Bark or maybe Alan Courtis that has a recording of a fly buzzing around , well into it. though i love the sounds of flying creatures, it's very disconcerting whilst trying to sleep. the first time i played it i turned on the light and spent quite some time waiting to see it, and kill it. (i wont sleep with a fly in the room)
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:14pm markr:

This dude in the studio tonight is bold, too. He was walking around on the keyboard of my laptop. He's so heavy, I'm surprised he didn't type out a comment.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:15pm coelacanth∅:

Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:15pm Sig:

Those flies man. They buzz around
  Sun. 6/24/18 11:16pm david:

what you have on right now has some chords that remind me of another brick in the wall by pink floyd.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:19pm coelacanth∅:

maybe it's a drone
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:21pm Sig:

I'm taking a pure guess right now, David is learning. Hey David bro are you learning?
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:22pm coelacanth∅:

i feel sorry for anyone who's not...or thinks he doesn't need to.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:25pm Sig:

I can so proudly state that statment

Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:26pm Diezel Tea:

Good morning from a delightfully spring-esque Yerevan. Summer be damned!
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:28pm markr:

Good morning, Diesel. It's definitely summer in Jersey City this week. We just had a beautiful thunderstorm blow through.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:34pm markr:

Sorry about the misspelling of your name, it's that gosh darn autocorrect!
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:34pm coelacanth∅:

and Ginger Baker's Air Force is notably good and underappreciated
  Sun. 6/24/18 11:37pm Marc15:

Mark — A few weeks ago, on an early Monday Morning, you played “Largo Al Factotum,” the beautiful Aria from “The Barber Of Seville.“ You inspired me buy the entire Opera on CD. Thank you, Mark
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:38pm markr:

Yes, Coel, again I think it was his personal problems that torpedoed that group. Wow, that's great to hear, Marc!
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:41pm Sig:

Well Mark you have the flie. I (the proud one) just had a visit from a bird/ Eurasian magpie. It was only a second or two but what the heck
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:43pm coelacanth∅:

yeah i guess he and Jack Bruce couldn't get along, putting an end to cream. it's too bad Bruce didn't want to start a new group with a new drummer and guitarist. could've been just as good.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:46pm markr:

He did, a couple times. They weren't. (West, Bruce and Laing is one that springs to mind.)
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:49pm Sig:

Ahh those Scandinavian balcones
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:49pm Sig:

Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:50pm coelacanth∅:

hmm yeah; and right.
... maybe he just lost his mojo.
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:51pm Sig:

Shiny steller
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:51pm Sig:

Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:52pm Sig:

Fact is a motherfucker
  Sun. 6/24/18 11:53pm grace gold:

no talking about balconies plz
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:54pm Sig:

Why not?
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:54pm coelacanth∅:

...but then, (even though i think Clapton has always been very overrated) i'm not sure Lesley and Corky would've been up to the task, if in fact Jack presented them with material as good as he had with cream.
(not to dis them either. both excellent)
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:57pm coelacanth∅:

(...both excellent, but not oriented toward blues like Clapton and Baker)
Avatar Sun. 6/24/18 11:58pm Sig:

GRACIE why not? How else will I learn!
Avatar Mon. 6/25/18 12:00am markr:

Thanks for hanging in, everyone. Suzy's next, and I'll be back next week filling in for Jesse 3-6 am. Take care.
  Mon. 6/25/18 12:00am grace gold:
