this Drunk In Hell reminds me of some bands I listened to in my area when I was younger - early mid 90's Eastern Ontario / West Quebec sounds... One Eyed God Prophecy / Union of Uranus

Andrew S:

fall did nearly countless great tracks but "frightened" is still the one that sends shivers down my veins even after many hundreds of plays

blansto:

Oh yeah, I love that one too! Scared the shit out of me when I first heard it as a teen.

"I sweated a lot, you could feel the violence..."

blansto:

I wonder why all those early Fall songs had such a darker edge to them?? Was it the times, the members on those early recordings, MES's state of mind??

grtyvr:

being new to The Fall I can't say...
what year was it?
  1:13am
blansto:

"Frightened" was on Live at the Witch Trials, which came out in 1979, and "Totally Wired" was released as a 7" in 1980.

blansto:

If you haven't listened to The Fall's Live At The Witch Trials LP (their 1st), I highly recommend it!
