Ike:

Sounds good, but NOOOOOOOOO don't go over to the DARK SIDE of forwards-backannouncing! Backannounce in reverse order, the way Glob intended!!!! (Actually, it's so that people in cars, tractors, rollercoasters, etc. can count backwards from the last song to figure out what they heard if they tuned in in the middle of the set without crashing into the median strip because they're looking at this playlist on their phones.)

hi all, new to this show/genre and Global Communication specifically but I like this track a lot. what else should I investigate?
Avatar 2:11pm
Joel St. Germain:

@disantlor - italo house/baeleric house .. discogs.com / Rolling Motion on WFMU .. *BLT sorry should I come down and say hi on my way to the gym??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm
Passaic River Blues:

@disantlor: Were you asking about the Derrick May mix of Sueno Latino? If so, it seems you may have a hankering for mid-1990s melodic Detroit techno. I'd look into more Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Carl Craig. If you meant the Global Communication track, Joel's right and go full on early 90s Balearic.

Not as obnoxious as when you forget there's a vocal on your talkover track. I do that one a lot :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm
Ike:

OMG, another on-air shout-out. I'm not worthy. I did not mean to cause a ruckus or anything. I must be more humble. For all I know, nobody turns on their car radios in the middle of a set anymore. Or do they? What do youse guys think?
Avatar 2:25pm
Rev. Turnip Druid:

Ike is nothing if not a ruckus-causer.

If anyone's listening to the archive and happens to be reading the comments, you might note that BLT's Bed Music is Walter Murphy's "Afternoon of a Faun" which is his version of the Debussy classic "Prelude a l'apres-midi d'un faune." You can find the piece on Murphy's vinyl record "Discosymphony" or on CD as I got it on, "Deep Disco & Boogie, vol. 1"
