@Fred Seems that way doesn't it? I justify it by saying I prefer being here different times of the day... It makes ME happy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:17pm

That makes sense, and it also means you can make more listeners happy. Different days and hours cover more time zones

Any news on the house-hunting?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm
Brian in UK:

Sem we went up to Shropshire, a county where time has stopped. Most properties were around Seventeenth century vintage. No 'planes over flying, clear skies at night, you can watch the satellites circulating above. After the fourth house you get a bit boggled. Thanks for asking.
Avatar 1:27pm
Sem Chumbo:

So, I am getting that time-travelling to poor roads, poor houses and the delights of pre-Crapper plumbing is not sufficiently motivating you to take the leap.

Hi Jay. Better than that we had tablecloths, tea pots, cake stands, the lot.

Excellent, some of statistical interpolation predictive maps are making the U.S. Dept of Environmental Protection annual report for the progress of the restoration of the Everglades. Finished it up Friday evening and got the remote thumbs up from the CEO. Feels great to use my noggin again.

I thought the Everglades were a dangerous place best left to Fifteenth century explorers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm
fred:

@ngh: Restoration of the Everglades? It must also feel nice to be using your skills for a worthy cause
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56pm
Brian in UK:

ngh seriously, really pleased for you.
Avatar 1:57pm
northguineahills:

Agriculture, sugar cane farming, canals, wetland draining, and dredging rivers straight instead of meandering, has left a lot of pollutants in in the Everglades ecosystem and prevented the needed water flow for the ecosystem. The restoration efforts started 25 years ago (I used to read academic papers on it in HS).
Avatar 2:00pm
Bill Mac:

The real question is - is there positive progress. Is the environment down there being repaired?

Most definitely, the levels of mercury and sulfur etc has dropped dramatically in the last 20 years, in the water, soil, and aquatic life.

Yes covered I See You on their first album before they went Prog.

Sadam Hussein did a number on the water systems in southern Iraq where the March Arabs live. He really screwed them by building canals and redirecting the water.
