Wikipedia, re Moonshadow: "When Yusuf appeared on The Chris Isaak Hour in 2009, he said of this song: "I was on a holiday in Spain. I was a kid from the West End (of London) - bright lights, et cetera. I never got to see the moon on its own in the dark, there were always streetlamps. So there I was on the edge of the water on a beautiful night with the moon glowing, and suddenly I looked down and saw my shadow. I thought that was so cool, I'd never seen it before."

At the record store I used to work at, we arrived one morning to find a MASSIVE box of vintage Police pins and buttons that someone had left for us. As the one who had to create eBay listings for each one, I got VERY good at recognizing which iconography matched which albums/singles. It took the better part of a year to go through them all.

Yeah, but when you say, “fun fact- the guitar player for the band "sammy" went on to design dre beat headphones.” That is a wild misrepresentation. Luke Wood is the COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Beats by Dre. He’s a “suit” in jeans and a t-shirt.

  11:52am
JakeGould:

It’s not magic. You shouldn’t look directly in the sun to begin with. And in the case of a total eclipse, the darkness expands your pupils and if you stare, you run the risk of piles of sun pouring into your eyeballs when the moon moves away.

Like if you go to the eye doctor and they give you those eyedrops to expand your pupils and you can’t eb in drect sunlight? Same thing.
