I've always had this idea in my head that you never open a show with a song you've already opened with? Don't know why I've always thought that?

Simpletones'd fit in, speaking of California.

You nailed the waning summer vibe. It's beautiful today, In Indiana! Been like this all week.

I have some similar feelings about California! Now I am daydreaming about going back there on this grey rainy day. This is the perfect soundtrack...

I'll have to agree with Bill Kelly. Summer is officially over on September 22nd.

Re: California. I can't speak for my life-long state, that we would welcome The Shelley's back with open arms. And a small relocation fee.

Would love for you to open a restaurant some day if for no other reason than to see the prices.
Sat. 8/12/17 11:34am David in ATL from NJ:

Agree. I hate those people that go up to the front to merge when they know there is that upcoming merge.

Nice comment, Todd.

triple double is either a figure skating move, or a tim horton's coffee with three sugars and two creams.
Sat. 8/12/17 11:42am David in ATL from NJ:

Michael, did Glen Campbell ever do any duets with David Bowie?
  Sat. 8/12/17 11:44am edbert:

what makes NRBQ great to me is the extra level of musical ingenuity that goes into many of their tracks
  Sat. 8/12/17 11:44am Hubadoo:

A triple double is a basketball term meaning a player has contributed double-digit shots made, assists on shots made and shots blocked. So, double digit contributions to all facets of the game, offensive and defensive. Cheers.

You Can't Hide is a good example of a good re-record. There aren't many.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 8/12/17 11:49am Listener Baby:

To Mike's point about NRBQ. I've seen them in various forms, over 20 times. The best show I ever saw, and the worst show I ever saw, were on the same night. Two different sets. That pretty much explains it all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dennis Linde (LIN-dee). He wrote tons of hits, many in the 90s, like Goodbye Earl for the Dixie Chicks. Dennis may have been playing bass for Elvis when Burning Love was recorded -- that might be the connection.
