Hello jkeigh :) I have had that Boards of Canada LP in my cart for weeks...Glad I finally got to play it!
  Sat. 8/5/17 3:36am Tomek:

Oh Skully, 20 years later and I'm still in love with you.
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 3:40am CarolCrow:

Morning, Tomek! How's life in Poland this day?
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 3:45am CarolCrow:

Hey SB, I love Scully, too! Skinner was a favorite of mine also :)
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 3:47am jkeigh:

My best friend's wife was a dead ringer from Scully back in the 90s. They actually won a Halloween contest one year with her just in a uniform that looked FBI-ish and him dressed as an alien (he doesn't look a thing like David Duchovney)
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 3:54am CarolCrow:

@ jkeigh: Ha! Funny:)

Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 4:09am CarolCrow:

@northguineahills: Sorry about the circumstances, but I'm glad to have you here. Hope the move is not too stressful!
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 4:11am Sem Chumbo:

@Sem: He was a gift to all of us.
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 4:14am jkeigh:

This is great! I hate to admit that I don't know much about the works of Sam Shepard but this collection makes me want to see his plays!
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 4:14am CarolCrow:

Hello sufferwords
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 4:16am CarolCrow:

@ jkeigh: If you're looking for a starting point, check out the film, "Paris, Texas," which he wrote.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 8/5/17 4:16am northguineahills:

@CarolCrow: Thanks. The end result is worth it. I have a job I can be proud to do (hydrology/soil science for a new firm that helps prosecutes polluters and is helping restore Okeechobee/Everglades). Freelancing or doing soul-destroying jobs in NYC for the NYC gov't or Tech firms was deleting me. I'll miss Brooklyn (I've been there almost 17 years), but having a job I love, and not hemorrhaging money will benefit me in the long run. I have WFMU to make me feel at home. Gracias!
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 4:17am jkeigh:

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll check that out this weekend.
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 4:21am CarolCrow:

@northguineahills: Sounds like you are on a much better path! I am so happy for you:)
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 4:24am CarolCrow:

@ jkeigh: Cool. With Harry Dean Stanton and Natassja Kinski, you can't go wrong.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 8/5/17 4:24am northguineahills:

Holy smithereens! I have this Scorn! What are the chances, I rarely hear them, even on WoofMoo!

Thanks CarolCrow. W/o NYC to distract me, it'll be easier to hear you live. Keep up the good artistry!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 8/5/17 4:25am northguineahills:

"rarely hear him", I in sleep deprivation mode....

W/ the prolific output of Aube, does Akifum Nakajima have releases under his own name? (asking for a friend ;)
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 4:53am CarolCrow:

@ northguineahills: I am not sure. Hm.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 8/5/17 4:55am northguineahills:

Now w/ anticipated disposable income, I need to resubscribe to the Wire, mine expired four days ago....
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 8/5/17 5:04am northguineahills:

If my memory serves me right, from what I've read, Steve Roach started his ambient experiments in the 80s at the Stanford student union hall....
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 5:07am Sem Chumbo:

Much to think about at Market today, not least Mr. Huxley's view of the world. So happy to have you to keep me company in the early morning. See you next time, Ms. Crow.
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 5:08am CarolCrow:

Until next time, Sem! Have a good day :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 8/5/17 5:11am northguineahills:

I'm off to attempt 3 hours of slumber, Sem Chumbo is as bad as I am in the meeting the sandman, Arigato CarolCrow, t'was a fine aural bed for my head. Salud!
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 5:14am CarolCrow:

@ northguineahills: I did not know that...I shall have to investigate Mr. Roach more thoroughly! Thanks for the info!
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 5:14am CarolCrow:

Sleep well, northguineahills:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 8/5/17 5:19am northguineahills:

Some of Steve Roach's material borders on New Age, but sometimes, that's what we need... ayanasuminasai!
Avatar    Sat. 8/5/17 5:46am jkeigh:

13 is my lucky number so I suppose I'm a Triskaidekapaphile :-)
