Good morning Nate and pyromaniacs. There was a line at the polling station; it take that to be a good sign
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52am
Nate K.:

Hey Fred, how are things looking over their election-wise?
Avatar 6:52am
Sem Chumbo:

Good morning, @fred.

@Nate: hard to tell. Abstention could make a big difference. I must admit voting for an investment banker is not appealing, but the stakes are high. If enough lefties stay home, we'll have our first female president. It looks a bit like your election, which isn't reassuring

One astrologer has said he gives it to Macron - but w/out a connection to the People - & woe unto France. & that's if it turns out well for the World...

It's a Kinks moment just now it seems.

MH is one of the great ones, for sure. Something Else would probably be my choice, though.

Oh, and I love this Roky song...
Avatar 7:44am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Hm. MH was still only '71... Exile is a tone - a mood - as an album if not songs... FtoF - the general greatness of '66...hm...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46am
Nate K.:

I love most Kinks record, and I wouldn't try to argue for MH in a debate or anything, but it is my fave.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:46am
Nate K.:

Still love Exile, I just keep it on the shelf a lot more now days, too.
Avatar 7:51am

...Ray is up there w/ Lennon&McCartney & Dylan & Townshend - that's the thing; a whole kind of SmartPop~Rawk devolves from him...while TheKinks as a band relate to several particular styles...Comparing to the Stones? Hm... Maybe we're hungry for Smart Poet Bards now or something...not that the Stones couldn't observe & write...
Avatar 7:51am
Sem Chumbo:

@RevRab: yeah, I think you've nailed the appeal of Exiles,
