Avatar    Wed. 5/3/17 3:20pm fred:

I went to a Zorn "marathon" 3 or 4 years ago, and even though it covered a lot of ground, it feels like it only scratched the surface
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 5/3/17 3:23pm doctorjazz:

Hope to make the Zorn Village Vanguard appearance in a few weeks (going to see David Murray there tonight...)
Avatar    Wed. 5/3/17 3:25pm weinstein:

He is on something like 400 albums and most of them under his authorship.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 5/3/17 3:33pm doctorjazz:

Pretty amazing! Lots (most?) on his own label as well.
Avatar    Wed. 5/3/17 3:35pm weinstein:

Not that he has ever been short on ideas and enthusiasm, but the Village Vanguard arrangement seems to really be a thrill for him.
Avatar Wed. 5/3/17 3:43pm northguineahills:

I was going to say I hadn't heard of the Garden of Earthly Delights, but then I see it came out this year...
Avatar    Wed. 5/3/17 3:44pm weinstein:

Who can keep up? I am exhausted from just trying to fill in the blanks of the last couple years.
  Wed. 5/3/17 3:44pm Ginger:

Damn, this is a spooky track.
Avatar    Wed. 5/3/17 3:44pm weinstein:

Zorn on piano!
Avatar Wed. 5/3/17 3:45pm northguineahills:

I can't remember the album, (one from around 2001?), but he played a mean Cuban piano on one of the tracks...
Avatar Wed. 5/3/17 3:50pm northguineahills:

I have become a huge Lurie fan more and more. He has aged well, and I was tough on him back then.
