January 24, 2017: MARK KORVEN (The Witch)
Toronto-based composer and multi-instrumentalist Mark Korven joins Devon this week to discuss his soundtrack career. Mark is perhaps best know for his recent unsettling score for first time director Robert Eggers' period horror film "The Witch" (2015), aka the film that “scared the hell out of” Stephen King. However, he has been composing for film, television and documentaries since the late 1980's and his extensive filmography also includes the sci-fi horror cult classic "Cube" (1997), Patricia Rozema's "I've Heard The Mermaids Singing" (1987) and "The Twilight Zone" TV Series (1989).

Listener Robert:
Easy to score the hell out of S. King; he's got scary thoughts running thru his head all the time, just looking for an excuse. | |
