Ridgewood Radio features live sets by adventurous bands and experimental musicians, recorded at clubs and galleries running along the L-train corridor through Brooklyn and Queens from Williamsburg to the Rockaways. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the blossoming Ridgewood neighborhood, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

Eclectic but somehow unified....

My buddy Steve appeared on a panel with Ostertag a few years ago to discuss Ostertag's "All the Rage": https://vimeo.com/56832171 Check out the other links, including more footage including Ostertag.

Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 2:30pm listener james from westwood:

I want to play whatever video game that was.
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 2:33pm weinstein:

I think you are required to play using the Oculus Rift or comparable device.

A pleasant hark back to Blip Fest (which, I see, exileFaker played in the fest's later years in the Pacific.) Never got to go, though I well remember the year FMU broadcast it from the Bell House.

Good afternoon David, Ruth and all
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 2:41pm weinstein:

I actually have the Ridgewood and Outpost gang dancing, I never thought it would happen in my lifetime!
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 2:43pm geezerette:

cheerful,industrious robots. awww...
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 2:44pm weinstein:

I know, these sounds seem so friendly even when they are manic.
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 2:51pm geezerette:

I watched too much of the orange man's "press conference". Ugh. Seriously frightened. My brain needs cleansing, this works.
The robots are fluffing & folding it right now!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 1/11/17 2:57pm fred:

@geezerette: A Gent Orange is dangerous for the brain, but in a bad way (unlike Thomas Storck's show)
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 2:59pm geezerette:

High five,Fred! & he ain't no Gent.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 1/11/17 3:03pm fred:

This Lary 7 set starts very well.
For some reason it reminded me that Pierre Berthet will play at Sonic Protest, which is good news to me
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 3:07pm geezerette:

Sonic Protest sounds like serious fun! Too bad it's so far from here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 1/11/17 3:09pm Parq:

Fred: "A Gent Orange" -- good one! Would steal, but I don't know anyone (outside the WFMUniverse) who would get the reference.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 1/11/17 3:12pm doctorjazz:

Sounds like an out of control accordion at this moment, cool.
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 3:13pm weinstein:

@fred Have to admit I didn't get it until my third read.
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 3:17pm Doug Schulkind:

Aha, behold the natural habitat of the Ridgewoodnymph!
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 3:21pm geezerette:

I like the relentlessness!
It's funny.
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 3:24pm weinstein:

Where I grew up the happy place was called the "friendly confines" and will be trying to replicate that for the rest of time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 1/11/17 3:33pm fred:

Very nice Carl Stone track right there
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 3:34pm geezerette:

Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 3:56pm weinstein:

Thanks for the love everybody! This one gave me extra joy for some reason. Maybe I'm a little fragile at this moment. Or all of us!
Avatar Wed. 1/11/17 3:57pm listener james from westwood:

Dug the journey today, David and Ruth; thanks muchly! It gave me extra joy, too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 1/11/17 3:58pm fred:
