Good morning and congratulations WFMU family.

Thank you, Guy :) Thanks so much to all the generous people who supported WFMU during our silent fundraiser! We reached our goal!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 11/14/16 6:25am Ken From Hyde Park:

Yes, the exceedingly bright moonlight was shining down as I was out bagging leaves into the late evening hours. The station met the goal right at the end of Therese's show so the fund drive didn't leak into Monday.

Avatar    Mon. 11/14/16 7:25am CarolCrow:

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments! Hope this is helping to ease you into the morning (or evening depending on where you are listening from) :)
Mon. 11/14/16 8:00am Inner Ear Detour:

Yes, nice show.
     Mon. 11/14/16 8:02am Listener Robert:

Last week I told my housemate (we're both listeners who favored Trump), "Trump has ruined WFMU!" because of what Trump would call the "sad" rxn of the DJs. The only DJ not "ruined" by Trump was Nachum -- and he's leaving!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 11/14/16 8:05am doctorjazz:

It's true that most of what I've been hearing on FMU has been angry or sad...
It should change at some point (it's what many are feeling), though, depending on what happens, could switch over to just angry...
Mon. 11/14/16 8:13am judy from croton:

It's virtually impossible to walk into work with this incredible music playing. School parking lot suits me just fine.
Thank you!
Avatar    Mon. 11/14/16 8:16am CarolCrow:

Thanks Inner Ear Detour and judy!
Avatar    Mon. 11/14/16 8:18am CarolCrow:

Hello Robert & doctorjazz :) Good morning!
     Mon. 11/14/16 8:21am Listener Robert:

Sorry I couldn't pledge for this drive, but my aforementioned housemate kicked in $100, so that's like $50 from both of us, right? ;-) We just moved in together, & I'm tapped out, even owe him for heating oil.
Avatar    Mon. 11/14/16 8:23am CarolCrow:

@ Robert: Sorry to hear about your troubles. We're just happy to have you listen! Thank you all for listening:)
     Mon. 11/14/16 8:26am Listener Robert:

Thanks, Ms. Crow. But my $ troubles are about to end this week, as work has resumed & is increasing with Divina Biotech, with commensurate pay. I hope to be able to start paying back friends this winter. WFMU will get you thru times of no $ better than $ will get you thru times of no WFMU.
Avatar    Mon. 11/14/16 8:27am CarolCrow:

@ Robert: Agreed :) Music has always been my solace in times of trouble.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 11/14/16 8:50am doctorjazz:

Great Neil!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 11/14/16 8:53am annie:

@robert: so glad things are looking up for you. those times seem interminable.

thanks for the wonderful tunes carol..!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 11/14/16 8:54am doctorjazz:

Enjoyed the show, thanks
(interesting how at one point this would have been the only Cohen played for him, now you can't get away from Hallelujah).
  Mon. 11/14/16 8:55am KevinfromBayRidge:

First time listener. Great show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 11/14/16 8:56am Planet Tyler:

Thanks for the show!
Avatar    Mon. 11/14/16 8:58am Sem Chumbo:

Cohen has been part of my life since The Spice-box of Earth and Flowers for Hitler, his second and third books of poetry. Yep, a long time back. Gave a lot of himself to his art and he'll live on through it because he refused to blink at what he discovered, and wrote it down. Thanks, Carol.

Now the sun is well up into the sky. Have a good week, Carol.
