I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 10/28/16 1:20pm Ike:

Honestly, it's nice having a break from the sexy singles. They're so high-energy and demanding.
Avatar Fri. 10/28/16 1:21pm Bryce:

mrao :)
Avatar Fri. 10/28/16 1:24pm Mister Dobalina:

Totally agree Ike. This is so, 'lite on the calories' kinds of listening but yet so satisfying & filling.

  Fri. 10/28/16 1:27pm nic:

Avatar Fri. 10/28/16 1:29pm Bryce:

i'd forgotten about him! so beautiful - and nothing electronic. john cage was a fan of his.wish i'd seen this stuff live. sometimes he performed with *dozens* of people in his ensemble....
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 10/28/16 1:30pm Cecile:

hey, next singles going steady you should play 3 hour long cuts, and cut in with completely random messages.

So...what's the current situation for DYI records with 3D printers? Can any schmoe with a decent printer start cranking out records at will?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 10/28/16 1:37pm Studio B Ben:

This mix is definitely what I needed today. And it fits so well with the creepy scary stories I was just reading. Thank you, Bryce.

@sphere - Thanks. The article says a 3D LP would ruin a needle, so the next step is to 3D print needles, obviously.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Fri. 10/28/16 1:55pm Michael 98145:

or to complicate matters even worse, use a laser needle
Avatar Swag For Life Member Fri. 10/28/16 1:57pm chris:

i believe these are sawed-off aluminum baseball bats, hanging by the handles
  Fri. 10/28/16 2:18pm nic:

wow this is great 2 !!!
Avatar Fri. 10/28/16 2:20pm ranjit:

I found a bunch of aluminum baseball bats in the garbage once and took them home to play them. www.flickr.com...
Peter Van Ryper is waaaay better at it!
  Fri. 10/28/16 2:24pm rakes:

I love this
Avatar Fri. 10/28/16 2:27pm Bryce:

ranjit, that's exactly the way he would hang them. he would spread them throughout a gallery space, then walk through the audience playing them.
Avatar Fri. 10/28/16 2:28pm Bryce:

i think he liked to position things just so, so that he could get standing waves and other trippy spatial situations happening
Avatar Fri. 10/28/16 2:31pm ranjit:

Yeah, I'm reading about him on wikipedia etc and wish I'd known about his work earlier. I always learn good stuff from WFMU!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Fri. 10/28/16 2:33pm Michael 98145:

^ that is why we are here
Avatar Fri. 10/28/16 2:33pm Bryce:

so so sad i never saw him when he was alive. he sent fmu literally the first cd-r i'd ever seen, and maybe in the library.

that casette was also directly from him. never seen it mentioned anywhere else, not even on his own site:

"Other instruments included metal bars, fifty-meter long piano wires stretched diagonally across the great hall, aboriginal bullroarers, swung by a chorus of people to make whirring sounds, and wine glasses which the chorus played for ringing sounds."

Sorry to have missed that !!
  Fri. 10/28/16 2:43pm JakeGould:

Why?
  Fri. 10/28/16 2:43pm nic:

love this!!!
Avatar Fri. 10/28/16 2:45pm Bryce:

i know, right?? he did a sound performance consisting of his jumping through a bunch of walls of paper.

i really wish some enterprising label would re-master his complete output (including lots of cassettes), and make some kind of box set.

just for me :)
