I love the word 'trivet.'

Hey Irwin! Someone showed a video (I think it was Kurt? he credited you) on - I think Facebook - of a band from the early 70's featuring a woman singing in a very Janis-like (or Joplinesque?) voice, a real slow funky number. She was great! What was the name of that band, do you recall? She had some strange moves, bare-midriff outfit? I'd hate to go looking on FB again...

Jack: Janita Haan, the band is Babe Ruth, the track is "Gimme Some Leg."

wow. Thank you! Sorry to bug about it, but I saw it a few days ago and it's stuck in my head. Thanks again!

I'm mortified by the pledge total for this program. Eleven per cent. That's 10-watt community station territory. That's closed-circuit piped into the college cafeteria-grade support. I feel so empty.
Avatar    Wed. 10/19/16 3:29pm AnAnonymousParty:

Man, that's some plucking. Don't even sound like a violin.

This is great. I love Jenny O.
Avatar    Wed. 10/19/16 3:51pm Irwin:

Alison, I've been tracking your charitable efforts and they are all the more remarkable for a lady so deeply in debt to those who bankroll higher ed loans.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 10/19/16 3:52pm Alison Porchnik:

Thank you but don't out me as a debtor! The watchers are watching!

Y'know, the more I stare at that $3 ceramic trivet...I think that it may be proof positive that our planet was visited many thousands of years ago by space aliens. Just look at it!

It did, LL. The pledge total just skyrocketed from 11% to 13%. So you pledged 2% of my goal. THANKEW.
