Right arm, Mark. Gotta run to the liquor store, but I'll be back shortly.
  Mon. 10/3/16 3:11am P-90:

Cochran's one of those guys, if he had not died so young, you're sure he would have some kind of HUGE career. There's no way to even guess what he would have done...
  Mon. 10/3/16 3:12am P-90:

...and here's hoping we'll hear some more Eddie during the show...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 10/3/16 3:13am joeray:

Good morning, Mark!
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 3:14am Mark R:

Shhhh. It's the Silent Fundraiser. Some of you know that JM in the AM is leaving us, and that's going to leave a big hole in our fundraising. Please give what you can!
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 3:28am Mark R:

Morning, Joeray, P-90, Simon. Good to have you with me this morning! How are things in your world?
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 3:33am Smilty69:

Good morning Mark R & friends. Great set.
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 3:41am Mark R:

Morning Smilty--picking up the tempo a bit in this set.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 10/3/16 3:44am pacific standard simon:

Back again. I do not know why JM in the AM is leaving, but I will do my best to help.
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 3:51am Mark R:

It's a little complicated to explain. It's got to do with our status as a non-profit, and certain limitations it places on him. It's very amicable, but he has a very loyal, generous audience, who will be difficult to replace. BTW if you have an idea for a 6-9 am show, write Ken@wfmu.org.

Making a booze run in the middle of the night reminds me of when I was 14 years old and making Pepsi runs in the middle of the night. 1970
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 3:58am Ilya from Saratov:

Sigur Ros - oh, my 2008.
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 3:59am Ilya from Saratov:

Since then listen to for the first time, I guess.
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 4:00am Layet Johnson:

Thanks Mark! Love Sigur Rose.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 10/3/16 4:04am joeray:

Chremo Coyle was also talking about sending ideas for those 6-9am shows to Ken, but I thought he was kidding! Why wouldn't the station just make the current web-only shows broadcast programs on FM? Are they looking for a similar situation to JM in the AM, non-WFMU shows that would bring in money???
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 10/3/16 4:04am pacific standard simon:

The only idea I have for a show is a reproduction of the radio I used to listen to when I was 14, 15, and 16. I call it "Happy Hippie Radio". Doesn't really work in an early morning slot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 10/3/16 4:12am Goyim in the AM:

A lot of the current 6-9 am online crew play songs with naughty words -- there would be an adjustment period at a time when eyes would be on the station -- FCC uncoolness could ensue. More pressing: do I have to change my username?
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 10/3/16 4:17am pacific standard simon:

@ Goyim in the AM - eventually. The joke will fade faster than memory.
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 4:17am Mark R:

I don't really know all the ins and outs of the thinking, I do know that we're discussing all kinds of ideas, and yours are welcome. This is your station as much as anybody's.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 10/3/16 4:30am pacific standard simon:

WFMU shows are reserved for local station volunteers. This I know. If someone wanted to do he show I would do, I would be happy to give him or her all my money.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 10/3/16 4:37am joeray:

Once these changes happen, it's going to make the documentary "Sex and Broadcasting" seem a bit outdated.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 10/3/16 4:42am pacific standard simon:

"Sex and Broadcasting" already felt outdated when I watched it.

Oh I see I posted that wrong--well, trust me, it was a very cute picture of one of my dogs!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Mon. 10/3/16 4:47am pacific standard simon:

my pet is a plant.
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 4:49am Mark R:

Pose it holding your WFMU membership card and you just might win!
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 4:49am Mark R:

I don't care if you pledge to my show, just pledge!
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 5:12am Mark R:

Where else are you going to hear an hour-long raga to meet the sunrise? That's the kind of nutsiness you support when you pledge.
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 5:12am pierre:

Bonjour Mark
Avatar Mon. 10/3/16 5:12am Mark R:

Good job on this cool raga. Bryce plays ragas occasionally. Have a good week, Mark.
