Morning/afternoon, folks. Getting comfortable with the new transition. Happy to have the Blasters on before me. It'll be a great 1-2 punch.

Lovely TVZ, Nate. Unmistakable beauty.

Growing potatoes by the score here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46am
Nate K.:

Hope you guys don't mind the original cracks and pops on this Roxy tune. This record is probably close to 44 years old.

John Peel: 'Life has surface noise.'

fred:

There would be rich irony to my complaining about a 44 years old thing's cracks and pops (I'm 45)

Morning Nate et al
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57am
Nate K.:

Listeners, take note: There are actually two versions of this Suzi Quatro song. This is not the one I wanted...alas. It's interesting enough though, I suppose.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:58am
Nate K.:

Hey, Duke.

I saw a balafon master yesterday, a really good set. At some point he said he was born in Ivory Coast, his father in Mali, his mother in Burkina Faso, now he lives in Berlin but speaks French better than German. Borders are made to be ignored

Howard F:

It's amazing how the Numero stuff is so consistently good.
Avatar 7:52am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

- just the sound of this 'L.A. Carnival': probably not too many takes or much mixing. It ain't whatcha do - it's the way that you do it...

Will:

Great rockin show today Nate, and that little nugget of Lizzy Descloux was just what the doctor ordered.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08am
Nate K.:

@Revo, words to live by. Maybe...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:09am
Nate K.:

@Howard F. I agree. I always think "Oh, this new one doesn't really interest me," then I hear it, and I'm wrong.
Avatar 8:13am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

I don't wanna sound patronizing - but I tend to love the Irish take on Rawk.
I wish these guys played every week @ my local pub. That would be a better world.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14am
Nate K.:

@Revo. Agreed.

Great energy these guys - Live & Real - good songs - like they could bring it anywhere anytime, but not one bit of polish nobody needs. Thx Oh Boland !
