I heard him not long ago in a restaurant in Oakland, upstairs, a tight corner of the building. But the best was at a now defunct joint in Berkeley, Jazz House, a few folding chairs, tiny stage. It was the Full Blast Trio, one of the best live shows I've ever attended.

	5:27pm Dean: Here he's playing a nice small venue, too, The Chapel. (Or so I'm told, not having been there yet.) I heard him not long ago in a restaurant in Oakland, upstairs, a tight corner of the building. But the best was at a now defunct joint in Berkeley, Jazz House, a few folding chairs, tiny stage. It was the Full Blast Trio, one of the best live shows I've ever attended.
