Kurt Weill/Bertolt Brecht! Fitting since Bowie did, at least intermittently, put out a Weimar vibe. I remember when I was a kid I saw an interview with Bowie on the Dick Cavett Show. Dick kept making sly digs at Bowie's manhood, even implying that David was a woman. At the end Bowie said something like "Dick, I can't understand why you keep insulting me." Cavett coyly batted his eyes and said "Whatever do you mean?" What a jerk!
