For realz.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 7/15/15 9:25am Uncle Michael:

This business of being at my desk when the show starts is weird and wonderful.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 9:26am Jeff Golick:

I should try that... :(
  Wed. 7/15/15 9:28am Doug Schulkind:

I am sitting down for my "lunch" at work, which is weird, since my shift started at 4am.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/15/15 9:31am doctorjazz:

Hi all-Not Henry Threadgill? Is it a cover? He was just honored by ASCAP.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/15/15 9:32am doctorjazz:

David Murray, knew I Knew it, called it wrong, another great album/artist!
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 9:33am Jeff Golick:

Called it right, @doctorjazz! It's HT on (bass) flute.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/15/15 9:37am Jesse K:

OK, gotta go stack some more Triscuits. See you later d:oboys.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 9:48am Jeff Golick:

Bye, @Doug! Happy stacking?

Hi, @holland oats!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/15/15 9:58am doctorjazz:

Those 80's albums, Lester Bowie, David Murray's Octet (were amazing), Henry Threadgill Sextet were really big on my play lists at the time, left their marks!
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:07am Jeff Golick:

Agreed, @doctorjazz. Gives the lie to the "accepted wisdom" storyline for jazz in the 1980s.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:11am Jeff J:

This Kikuchi track also gives lie to the accepted wisdom that there's no good fusion after 1975. In Japan, they never got that memo!
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:12am Jeff Golick:

It's like Agartha/Pangaea sowed the seeds...
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:42am duke:

Hello D:O just got electricity back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/15/15 10:45am Blacktooth:

"That's cool, I'll just work on my website" is now my #1 go-to comeback phrase for ANYTHING ANYONE says to me.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:48am Jeff Golick:

Whoa @duke! Congrats.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:48am Jeff J:

Hi Duke - glad the power returned. Some electric music to plug into here.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:49am Jeff J:

Welcome Blacktooth.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:49am duke:

The great electron shortage of 2015
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/15/15 10:53am northguineahills:

True words Jeff J. (Japanese fusion).
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:55am Jeff Golick:

Heya, @ngh!
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 10:58am Jeff Golick:

Thunder over Brooklyn right now. We've somehow reached 110% humidity.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/15/15 11:01am northguineahills:

Yeah, looking at the radar, it looks like we're about to get walloped.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 7/15/15 11:02am AndrewC.:

So that's where those electrons went.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:15am Jeff Golick:

Hi, @AndrewC! Welcome.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:16am V Priceless:

Hey Jeff! Thought I heard Cale/Riley - sweet!
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:17am Jeff Golick:

Hadn't realized before that the drummer on Church of Anthrax is David Rosenboom. (Or I didn't really know who he was before...)
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:17am duke:

Cale and Riley seem made for each other. This is great.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:17am Jeff Golick:

Hey there, @V Priceless!
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:20am Jeff J:

Howdy NGH, AndrewC, and V Priceless!
The reviews for Church of Anthrax were pretty withering at the time, hard to understand why. It's a brilliant collaboration.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Wed. 7/15/15 11:22am northguineahills:

I found a copy of Church of Anthrax maybe 15 years ago, parts of it remind me of the orange cone Kraftwerk album.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:24am V Priceless:

I think it fits nicely into Cale's pre-Island Records discog
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:24am Jeff J:

Need to revisit that Kraftwerk record, NGH. Interesting connection with the Church of Anthrax.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:32am Jeff Golick:

Hey there, @listener james! Were you caught out in the rain?
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:53am listener james from westwood:

So far not so bad in northern NJ, but I think we're supposed to get a drenching later; thus the early liberty.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Wed. 7/15/15 11:55am Uncle Michael:

Thanks for the music, guys.
Avatar Wed. 7/15/15 11:59am duke:

Thanks Jeffs

@Jeff G, I endorse this nap plan.
Thanks to both of you in advance for what I imagine will be a fab archive!
