Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 7:38am fred:

It's nice to hear Mdou Moctar on these airwaves. He's really good live, too
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 7:39am Nate K:

@Fred I can't get enough of that kind of guitar. Would love to see him live.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 7:51am fred:

Maybe there will be a show if "Akounak Tedalat Taha Tazoughai" gets a screening nearby. I haven't seen it, but that film is supposed to be a Tuareg remake of Purple Rain. There's a trailer here: youtu.be...
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:05am Stanley:

Nate - we are all very happy to be part of this wonderful thing called WFMU.
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:09am BigLankyGeordie:

Monty Hall events sound awesome - bit far away for me as I live in little olde England but one of these days I'm going to nip over to see a show - after all I did help pay for it! ;-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 3/29/15 8:13am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...one more ☆ in a row & I'm ☆ing this whole episode...I'm warning you young man...
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:16am Uncle Michael:

Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:16am Nate K:

Revo Rabbit, I can't help it, I'm hardly in control here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:16am Nate K:

Uncle Michael!
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:18am BigLankyGeordie:

any chance of some right rocking Gun Club to liven up this gloomy Sunday?
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:21am Nate K:

I'll see what I can do, Geordie.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:23am fred:

I guess The Balladurians are a french band
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:24am Uncle Brian Johnson:

After the show I'm gonna listen to some Geordie...for old time's sake.
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:24am BigLankyGeordie:

Wherever they are from I like them! a lot, thanks WFMU For way I am constantly finding amazing music here
  Sun. 3/29/15 8:26am Will:

Nate, as my wife Lisa says every time she hears your show: "Where in hell does he get this stuff?!"
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:27am BigLankyGeordie:

damn right good idea UBJ, separated only by the Atlantic Ocean, I'll be doing exactly same thing! Let's scare the neighbour's!
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:28am BigLankyGeordie:

Outstanding, thank you Nate, good choice of track too
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:29am fred:

Balladur is a former french prime minister, known for being quite the opposite of rocking.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:32am Nate K:

Thanks for listening, Will!
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:32am BigLankyGeordie:

first day of British summer time here today and hearing Gun Club on WFMU did make the sun shine in my house just for a couple of very happy minutes despite the clouds outside. Excellent stuff
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:33am Uncle Michael:

The UK has a different solstice?
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:33am Nate K:

Geordie (the band) would actually work kind of perfectly right now.
  Sun. 3/29/15 8:35am Ari:

Pelican! Cheers from Iceland!
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:36am BigLankyGeordie:

Oh you know us Limeys, we're always a bit whacko! ;-) It's just clocks change today, go forward an hour
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:37am BigLankyGeordie:

Is there really a band called Geordie? Yikes
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:37am Uncle Michael:

What would other Prog-Pop bands be? Audience? Stackridge? If?
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:38am Uncle Michael:

Geordie was Brian Johnson's band before he was in AC/DC...and yes, they were.
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:40am BigLankyGeordie:

haha, I didn't know that, not as bad as I feared, a bit better than Cheryl Cole
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:41am Polyus:

The story of Bon Scott seeing Brian Johnson perform in Geordie is a great one. Hiya Nate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:41am Uncle Michael:

I don't know that story!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:45am Polyus:

According to legend, when Bon saw him, Brian was screaming his guts out and rolling around onstage, and then roadies came and carried him off the stage at the end. Bon thought it was an amazing performance, but it turns out that Brian's appendix burst in the middle of the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:46am Uncle Michael:

Ok, that's pretty rock and roll.
Avatar Sun. 3/29/15 8:47am BigLankyGeordie:

Cybotron that was great, massive range of music on the show, really enjoyed it
  Sun. 3/29/15 8:51am Will:

Nate finds 'em and plays 'em so we don't have to! Note to Uncle Michael: Greatest pop-prog band ever is Kayak from the Netherlands. Check them out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:52am Uncle Michael:

I have some Kayak. Good call.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:53am Uncle Michael:

Thanks for being my audio coffee, Nate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:53am Stanley:

@Big Lanky - you surprise me Geordie were an all right rock band that got this teenager's attention back in the day.
  Sun. 3/29/15 8:54am doof:

burning it as always nate
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 3/29/15 8:57am fred:

Thanks for the show, Nate
Avatar    Sun. 3/29/15 8:58am Sem Chumbo:

Blasting the show on the sunny deck, disturbing the neighbours and not caring a bit. Thanks, Nate!
