@rw: If you really objectively look at where rich people live, it all seems sick and sad you know. Like even the Upper East Side in Manhattan is so… Not human.

Thousands of homeless in downtown L.A. also not human. Not sure at this point where 'human' life mode can be found. Some magical not rich not poor not middle?

Youse two are sounding great! The station goal came up before - folks, keep in mind that that goal has not been raised in 3 or 4 years, so we really need to push past it! Let's see some support for Jesse & his great show!

FMU seems pretty human to me. I'm sending more $.
Avatar Tue. 3/17/15 1:34am Amanda:

This is seriously one of the best albums ever. Pledge pledge pledge to win win win!
Avatar Tue. 3/17/15 1:35am Amanda:

Joe Belock raises a great point! 1.2 million has been the goal for I think 3 years now.
Avatar Tue. 3/17/15 1:39am Amanda:

I visited LA for the first time back in January, and I loved it -- plenty for us non-rich folks to do. Beverly Hills, I didn't see, nor even Pasadena.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 3/17/15 1:40am JakeGould:

@rw: “Jake, I often wonder if my middle class American lifestyle would (similarly) appear not human to most of the world's population.” True. Good point. But the big difference I see between middle class and upper-class life is simple: I never had maids, servants or even nannies growing up. I think most people in non-middle class scenarios can relate to having somewhat more resources to make their life better rather than having so much wealth you are on another planet.
Avatar Tue. 3/17/15 1:42am Joe B:

That Miriam album was my No. 1 LP of 2014, which is saying a lot for it was a great year for new music. If you are waiting to make a pledge now would be a great time!

Speaking about nostalgia: Mac Tonight. www.youtube.com...
Avatar Tue. 3/17/15 1:53am Joe B:

There Goes My Babe was indeed a demo intended for Cher, recorded in June 1966. Buffalo Springfield shared a management team with Sonny & Cher - Greene and Stone, who wanted the Springfield to record demos they could peddle to other acts since they had a cut of the publishing. Also out of this strategy came the Mojo Men's version of Stills' Sit Down I Think I Love You.

A Question for Jesse - what did YLT play after the (hilarious) R.E.M. song? No one on the Internet has figured it out yet.
Very nice show but I gotta go to dreamland soon... thx for taking my pledge Amanda! (even if I keep getting shut out on the Miriam vinyl I'll end up buying...)
  Tue. 3/17/15 2:11am nate:

also I want to say that falling asleep with the marathon in the background has given me some weird dreams... last night Ken was using all my belongings as swag
Avatar Tue. 3/17/15 2:14am jj.:

  Tue. 3/17/15 2:57am rw:

I was wondering if WFMU were coin operated (like a slot machine) how many quarters I'd put in each day. At least a couple, I'm sure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 3/17/15 3:00am JakeGould:

@rw: What if WFMU had arcade games in Monty Hall? Or fortune telling machines? And weight scales with fortunes? An arcade? Hmmmm…
