Reminds me of the Welcome to Hell skateboarding video. Toy Machine made some good skate vids back then.
![]() |
![]() Not me. Also, I re-watched the original 1982 “The Thing” a few nights ago. You know what now haunts me about that film? Wilford Brimley not having a mustache or a beard. Spooky shit. |
![]() |
![]() Good luck on your pledge drive~ |

![]() Cool DJ coupling. Youse guys are something. |
![]() |
![]() I thank Hola for picking up on the bro-bonding. Us guys and bro-motions. |
![]() |
![]() Bromance is in the air. Nothing beats bonding over nostalgic porn memories. I remember finding porn mags in the desert by my house as a young kid. Good times. |
![]() |
![]() I never found porn mags in real life, I really missed the tug and rub boat. |
![]() |
![]() This song is a fucking beauty |
![]() |
![]() In the 1970s and part of the 1980s, the porn was good because nobody had plastic surgery. And there were tan lines. You kids nowadays with the porn all of the enhancements and the poking and the Botox. Feh! |
![]() |
![]() It's never too late Hola-Soymilk. Dreams do come true. |
![]() |
![]() and the hair in the 70's and 80's. Oh yeah! |
![]() |
![]() I'm tainted, blee. I've seen it all at this point |
![]() |
![]() Hola, remember: Hipsters now make retro porn ironically cool. First nude pics I ever saw? When I went to redeem Skee Ball tickets in Coney Island and saw the naked lady playing card deck on the top shelf. Blew me 11 year old mind! |
![]() |
![]() The first porn I ever saw was freaky bdsm shit. |
![]() |
![]() Retro porn sounds like hell |
![]() |
![]() BDSM? Yikes. Me it was Traci Lords back when they still thought she was legal and video rental stores turned a blind eye to 15 year old kids renting adult videos. |
![]() |
![]() Thanks Sinister JAKE, hey everyone. I love 70's porn, Real women, real boobs, hairy snapper, guys with mustaches .....1-800-989-9368 or wfmu.org to pledge now!!!!! |
![]() |
![]() @Hola: I don’t me new, artisanal porn… But if you go to flea markets, they proudly show piles of 1970s “Oui” magazines right next to other flea market things. |
![]() |
![]() Traci lords is now a part of my browser history forever, thanks jake |
![]() |
![]() Flea markets sound like something I'd hate |
![]() |
![]() I just got turned onto the Alpha France movies from the 70's and 80's. Great cinematography, amazing ladies, freaky situations, weird ass plot lines I can't follow because I don't speak French. |
![]() |
![]() still exploring sexual boundries ..... no end in sight ...... |
![]() |
![]() Hey, Hola… Educating the millennials is what us beatniks do, right? |
![]() |
![]() People liked “Velvet Goldmine” because it’s rock and roll, right? |
![]() |
![]() Blee, that's a good reason to learn French |
![]() |
![]() Blee, I love Jean Rollin films. Requiem for a Vampire, The Grapes of Death, Nude Vampire, The Iron Rose. |
![]() |
![]() Bilbo T Baggins? |
![]() |
![]() I guess people buy porn online like speciality vids |
![]() |
![]() Hola. Look. On Etsy (ETSY!) the world’s flea market: Tons of “Oui” magazines and related stuff. www.etsy.com... |
![]() |
![]() i buy 70s playboy .... love the electonics ads |

![]() |
![]() my favorite porn actress is Ashley Blue .... Girlvert ... woohoo!! |
![]() |
![]() @Hola, so Playboy’s writing will mean nothing to you… Bummer. |

Playboy had some good interviews back in the day. I think Robert Anton Wilson used to be an contributing editor for them for a while. http://www.nextnature.net/2009/12/the-playboy-interview-marshall-mcluhan/
![]() |
![]() It’s cool. |
Wed. 3/11/15 1:05am
Robert:
Yes, both RAW & Bob Shea worked for Playboy. It's where they met. I got friendly with Shea in the late 1970s, Wilson in the late 1980s.
Wed. 3/11/15 1:06am
Robert:
Jean P. Shepherd wrote for them frequently too, though I don't think he was a contributing editor.
![]() |
![]() Edward Dildo hands...... www.wfmu.org... |
![]() |
![]() Jean Shepherd interviewed “The Beatles” for Playboy back in the day, “Taciturn, even a bit sullen, he spends a good deal of his time sitting in corners staring moodily at the Venetian blinds.” www.beatlesinterviews.org... |
Wed. 3/11/15 1:11am
Robert:
Anyway as to porn writers, I'm friendly with Theresa Reed (Darklady). She writes erotica--soft core porn, arty stuff. I got friendly with her because she was looking for something that made dense foam for a bubble bath shoot with herself as subject, and I had such a formula.

![]() William, do you remember this amazing episode of “All in the Family” where Archie and Meathead are stuck in the bar basement, and Archie talks about his childhood? “Well, I remember one winter during the Depression when we didn't have any money because my father lost his job, we was all bust. And I wore out a shoe. One shoe. So I couldn't go to school with only one shoe. But my mother found a boot, so I had a shoe on one foot there and a boot on the other. A shoe and a boot. So the kids call me 'Shoebootie'.” www.youtube.com... |

Yes do it!!!! I want a show with you two!!!!
Wed. 3/11/15 1:42am
Jim:
I respectfully disagree about ultra-progressives not liking All in the Family etc...I consider myself pretty far left, and I like that show, and also am a big fan of Don Rickles. I think lots of lefties like All in the Family despite the display of racism and bigotry. I'm abhor racism but totally get the intent issue you guys were discussing.
Wed. 3/11/15 1:44am
Robert:
Didn't Jack E. Leonard do all the same jokes?
![]() |
![]() @Jim: The people would like the show. The TV networks would never let the shows be made because they would be too afraid of pissing people off AND the sponsors wouldn’t sponsor it. |
Wed. 3/11/15 1:46am
Jim:
ah, right, prob. wouldn't happen today...lots of great weird TV and movies in the 70s
![]() |
![]() @Jim: And the thing in the 1970s, the amount of channels were so small so they would take chances. Yet we have a gajillion channels on TV now and nobody takes a risk because nobody wants to risk losing sponsorship. TV is market driven now, whereas before it was really just a bunch of folks saying, “Do you think this would work? Let’s try it out…” It’s like the record industry in a way… |
![]() |
![]() A few channels still take a few chances here and there, like HBO letting John Oliver take hilarious potshots at various big corporations... but only because they DON'T HAVE ADS. |
![]() |
![]() Yeah, Ike. But the difference is you have to pay for HBO. Back before cable these shows existed and anyone anywhere could watch them. Far wider audience than John Oliver. And honestly I never found the morally outraged “liberal” behind the desk to be any better than the morally outraged “conservative” behind a desk. I watch those shows and wish back to the days of real variety talk shows; not just one talking head getting mad. |

Jim:
@JakeGould, et al...maybe I misheard the comment about ultra-progressives...I understand that today TV execs would probably not greenlight a show like that (although TV is getting pretty interesting these days), but I didn't know there was any time, then or now, that lefties wouldn't like All in the Family.
![]() |
![]() @Jim: You are right to a point, but I have met some folks who bestow the concept of “racist” and “phobic” to so many things that are so relatively silly it’s a bit bast belief. |

Robert:
It's gotten so you can't even talk ABOUT race or racism. A college student or employee complained of oppression because someone else there carrying a book ABOUT the KKK because it mentioned them on the cover. Another student elsewhere put up a statue making fun of the KKK, but gets accused of racism.

![]() Johnathan, “Blade Runner” happens in November 2019. Get your fake facts straight. |

2019 | |
![]() |
![]() i still haven't watched blade runner |
![]() |
![]() @Cory: Then you are banished from the man-cave. |
![]() |
![]() wouldn't be the first time. i did enjoy the hell out of zombie strippers though |
![]() |
![]() @Maybe we could entice you into watching Blade Runner by saying two words: robot stripper. |
![]() |
![]() that might work. while your at it could you cut it down a bit too? |
![]() |
![]() @Cory: If you ever have the chance to see it in a real theater, do it. I gasped at how amazing it looked in the recent releases on a big screen. |
Wed. 3/11/15 2:34am
dan in wisconsin:
Apparently the remake will have a female protagonist and be directed by Denis Villeneuve. I just watched "Incendies" by him, and I think the Blade Runner genre is in good hands. "Incendies" was pretty rough to watch in the best way.
![]() |
![]() @William: Is this playlist 1/2 empty or 1/2 full? I say this is 1/2 full. Bunch of Mensches here tonight. |
![]() |
![]() @DanInWisc: “Apparently the remake will have a female protagonist…” Bzzzt. Remake does not count. Don’t care who the director is. |

I worked in a video store. That film was actually called Edward Penishand! It was hilarious! |
Wed. 3/11/15 2:41am
dan in wisconsin:
I would hope that the sequel would implement more of the artificial animals, the mood organ, and the Mercer parallels that the book contained. Otherwise, it's best to leave this film alone, i't s already fucking classic.
![]() |
![]() Don’t care. There are only two “Aliens” films in my life, only two “Star Wars” and only one “Blade Runner.” |

![]() |
![]() Good morning all! I´m grumpy today, I did watch AMERICAN SNIPER tonight, I watched it without much expectations as I already had a low opinion of Eastwoods talents as a director, but this dreck totally went below the standards I expected: and I don´t have no problems with Eastwoods right-wing propaganda, as propaganda films have their own type of appeal. The problem here was the dumb way in wich everything was staged, like the hero and the villain, and the hero having trauma just until he shoots the bad guy and then gets better - AAARGHH! So shit on him! |
![]() |
![]() More krautrock! (I wanna sample the premium) |
Wed. 3/11/15 2:56am
Mike in SF:
Thanks for the Harasser! Cheers, William!
![]() |
![]() @Caryn: “Star Wars” and “Empire Strikes Back”. The rest are dead to me. |
![]() |
![]() Anyway, I did a bit of pledging as everybody should, but I didn´t go for your premium, Wm. - as a Kraut, I´m not in for Krautrock, sorry! I did go for Morriccone Island, so Manüla can have another T-shirt. |
Wed. 3/11/15 2:58am
The Guy in San José:
Empire. Everything else is a shit-pile of shit.
Wed. 3/11/15 2:58am
Mike in SF:
Oops, Harassor! There's a brutal death band called Harasser as well, apparently....
![]() |
![]() The most ridiculous story of the past month is the manufactured drama over how "Hollywood hates America because they didn't award "American Sniper" the best picture Oscar. |
![]() |
![]() No hard feelings, Man! |
Wed. 3/11/15 3:01am
The Guy in San José:
Wm. Berger's Castle of Quiet is the best show on WFMU
![]() |
![]() @JakeGould: I can understand not caring about ROTJ because of the Ewoks and the repetitive plot (another Death Star? Really?), but I say: -Leia in her slave girl outfit -the Emperor -the (non-Special Edition) Sarlacc -more Boba Fett -let's face it, the Ewoks are nasty pieces of work with dead shark eyes (and Jar-Jar Binks makes the Ewoks look like Shaft, to quote Spaced) |
