Did Keanu also eat his candle?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:01pm
Amanda:

Hey everybody! Thanks for joining me!

FYI October is SILENT FUNDRAISER TIME, which explains the pledge banner on the top left. Pledge for cupcakes, Keanu, party hats, etc.

...if Keanu eats the Red candle
...but if he eats the Blue one...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10pm
Artie:

Either candle eaten, either path taken, seems unlikely to lead to Keanu's enlightenment as to the source of the colored bits gently passed.

i met keanu briefly. that was more than enough.

My gym has a music video in heavy rotation that spoofs the "Simply Irresistible" vid, but w/ men in bathing suits, makeup, etc. and a woman fronting the spectacle. No idea who the singer is but the whole look is spot on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:25pm

The next frontier: remake Simply Irresistible with dogs. Or backup-dancer dogs and one cat.

Howdy, ndbob and all! Echoing Doug's kudo.
BTW, your singalong 2 weeks ago to Fred Astaire was a Top 3 singalong, if not THE tops.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm

No way! Thanks, James!

Re: Dead Fingers, I thought so too... it is great-sounding...

This is why author-spoken poetry is excellent. No beating that accent!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm
Doug Schulkind:

@Listener James
I believe that video is for Ingrid Michaelson's "Girls Chase Boys." My daughter is fond of that song (and it's clever skewering of sexism and heteronormative genderism in popular culture) and so I am!

I went through a Thin Lizzy phase, too. It lasted for about forever.

It's nice to hear some (new to me) Thin Lizzy. Our city's three classic rock stations (yes, really...) don't dig too deep into their catalogue.

Why isn't the entire Jailbreak LP given the love it absolutely deserves from people who should know better? It's a stone classic, from lip to label!

The Film Roman shift ended the lingering Life in Hell-ishness in the way things were drawn, is how I always thought about it, that liquid feel to the animation and dashed-off lines of the earlier seasons.

2. Ganesha.

I'd say I didn't hate it.

@Dan B: I read a pretty nasty takedown of the ep, which has colored my view, but agree with your assessment.
Avatar 1:31pm

I saw the crossover last night. I liked the references to the feud Groening and MacFarlane had in the past, and string of copycatting from the Flintstones-Simpsons-Family Guy.

The crossover had the wife and I discussing spinoffs, e.g., how All in the Family begets The Jeffersons...and Maude...and Archie's Place...and Gloria.
