Hey,hey, Dave Bombay! I,too, have seen the truth: if at first you don't succeed, you're running about average. Good morning.

@bibi: lovely here, and no doubt the ultra-Scottish in New Scotland are a wee bit hung over as well. They love the old sod and have no use for the Limeys ;-D

Hey, it's mauri the muffin man.
Avatar 6:41am
bibi:

what i liked about this independence movement was that -even considering oil- scotland is definitely not the richest part of uk. economics were not a major motivation... (more questionable for catalunya, flanders, etc.) but i dont want to get in a political storm amid this gorgeous retrojap set.

...Aye ! Next time lad - we take up this Vote sober ! ...then you'll see...
...Today I learn what 'tartine' means - I have a vinyl lesson in Additive Colors - & I have my suspicions about the Truth graphically confirmed
...& I've only just got up...

Looks like I will have to hit the archive later. For some reason people at work expect me to interact with them today, so I missed most of the first set

...the Scottish vote is disappointing - as many say they were more Liberal than London & felt under-represented - but maybe in some ways it was practically too big a step to be their own nation just yet; this vote happened once, it could happen again...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50am
fred:

I don't really care whether Scotland remains part of the UK, as long as it stays within the EU. I just don't want tariffs on whisky

Thanks SeanG! Its good to be in this stinky ol studio again! :)

We here in NZ can sympathise with the Scots. There's a general election here tomorrow and unfortunately, it looks like the National Party (our version of Repub's, Conserv, etc) look likely to scrape back in, damn it.

...I always think WWII followed the Depression: take the money out, people get Conservative, Nationalistic, & Anti-Immigrant...& of course we've had the Great Recession...if you listen to Chomsky or Dave Emory types (& many others) - you're inclined to think not by accident...

11pm Fri evening here in NZ. Time for a snooze before voting tomorrow morning. Have a good Friday, everyone !
